POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Cats,tea,and things.
Disease (Ritalin Bones)
I'm battling this disease
that's taking over this body,
Bleeding it dry, slowly
over time,
taking in all its fill,
till I become consumed
in Ritalin bones
and heart throbe episode's
with Jitter spells
that make me dizzy
in late night episodes
thrashing between the sheets
between nightmares
that leave me feeling
out of place
when the light shines
between the beams
of this place.

680 (Shattered Lungs)
These lungs of mine
Have grown weary
from your illfittedness
and, yet I find myself
going mad
from this toxicity
you created.

and, yet I find myself
going mad
from this toxicity
you created.

Headaches
There is a dark side to me
that I often forget
and it’s nights like this,
I wish it would go away.
that I often forget
and it’s nights like this,
I wish it would go away.

Lovers Death
I could feel the ice cracking beneath my feet
As it pulled me under
The waters lengthy depths
And cavernous edges.
I knew it was all going to end.
Right then and there, yet
All I could think about was
You.
The way your hair
Got tangled in your glasses.
When you furrowed
Your brow
At something preposterous
Or
When you would throw books
At the wall
When you were angry,
Instead of hitting me instead.
That’s all I could think about,
Not that fact that I am about
To fall through
The icy depths below me,...
As it pulled me under
The waters lengthy depths
And cavernous edges.
I knew it was all going to end.
Right then and there, yet
All I could think about was
You.
The way your hair
Got tangled in your glasses.
When you furrowed

Dear S,
I wonder if you’ve ever felt
Like a boy
Or are secretly attracted
To girls,
But would never
Act upon it,
Because that’s what you
Were taught to do,
Right?
- L.

Bruises
Cover me in bruises,
Take your fist
To my flesh,
Over and over again,
Like knives to a cutting board.
I want to see the
Colors dance
On my eyelids
And down the riffs
Of my spine.
Draw a map
In grape colored ink,
Spark the rivers
In my veins.
I want to hurt.
Color me in bruises.
Take your fist
To my flesh,
Over and over again,
Like knives to a cutting board.
I want to see the
Colors dance
On my eyelids
And down the riffs
Of my spine.
Draw a map
In grape colored ink,
Spark the rivers
In my veins.
I want to hurt.
Color me in bruises.

In my, her
Eyes.
In my, her

I have determined that being naked
Is the best thing to do.
Is the best thing to do.

I like these things,
so I listen to them in secret.
so I listen to them in secret.
