wrote my first poem when I was 12 years old. The release it gave was empowering. I didn't pick up a pen or put thought, feeling or ideas to paper again until my mother passed 7 years ago. Im now 48. Life is short: express yourselves and take risks.

Warm summer breeze
Clouds drift by
White against blue
Stirring autumn trees
Guiding me gently
Back to our home
Towards only you
Nature's planned destiny
My forever
My always
My friend
My true North
...For my husband

I’m not scared
Afraid or intimidated
I am done; and free
The support I knew
The protection I felt
The partnership we made
Is no longer true
I miss all what we had
Believing it would last
Our bond and blood pact
Along the way went bad
Life is too precious
A few seasons passed
I moved on with life
This feud now senseless

He is wealthy beyond no end
Because he loves my best friend
She is beautiful and daring
Warm, comforting and caring
A man and woman of character
True friends that you treasure
Always there to lend a hand
Be supportive and understand
With an open door
Generous free pour
Opening their home to all
Whether it be Day light or nightfall

Creative and beautiful; shielding her worth
Rich in wisdom, soulful
A profit on earth
Her eyes tell a tale
Of shattered dreams
And of past betrayal
Only just acquainted but I know her well
She is my image painted
For we share a secret hell
“How did I get here?”
“Am I being punished?”
“Do I give into fear?”
Don’t listen to that voice; but take my advice

Passion at first glance
A love that is flowing
Well Choreographed
A timeless dance
Sometimes they fight
Angry words are said
Yet decades have past
Still behaving just wed
They prove their devotion
Remembering the oath shared
"I DO, TIL FOREVER, AND BEYOUND DEATHS BED"
