convince me
I want to write the wrong
I want to complete the song
but somedays i feel like i cant go on
this merry go round keeps my head spinning
making me think there is no winning
finish the fight
is there a right
put an end to this dark night
find a place to rest my head other than this cold hard bench
take the time to understand
this is not really who i am
this beast i've become
is making me so numb
parading in this three ringed circus
i no longer believe there is a purpose
show me the light
make me believe i'm not right...
I want to complete the song

fly
when it feels like all your dreams have gone up in flames and you sit amongst the smoldering wreckage which you once believed was your solid foundation
you turn your head to look around but all you see are grey skies filled with ashes of who you once were
you try to speak you try to scream but all you can muster up the energy for is a single tear
your at square one again
you know not who you are but as that tear falls to the ember covered floor you realize who your not, and remember what you've learned
as you find the strength within yourself to get up and walk away from...

Gears shift rapidly
Sparks fly
Lost my sanity
Shouting why
Embers ignite
Incinerating my mind
cremating thoughts I'm still trying to find
Gathering the ashes that burned so fine
Into my cup and mixed them with wine
Drinking confusion tasting of brine
Bitter to swallow but these thoughts are mine

Dreams of Love
In my dreams i could see you, but as I went to touch you, you melted away.
When i tried to stroke your hair, tangled and confused it flowed into the ocean
then evaporated from the heat of my touch.
Your melancholy eyes, i dreamed them lonely and blue, and as i tried to peer deeply into them, they fused together, closing me out.
In my dreams I attempted to place a gentle kiss upon your pouting rosy lips, but as I neared you felt my breath your lips crumbled from your face, and blew away
In a final attempt to let you know how i feel, i whispered and as i came closer to your...

paranoid skeptic alone with my own illusions
