Roar of rage.
Rivers of blood
Flow like ribbons.
Winding,
Twining,
Playing like a child
Around the great knight’s feet.
Staining the tarnished
Metal
Brown-red.

Darkness billows,
Flowing like a cape.
Whistling in and out,
Caressing the frozen heart
Encased in blackened mail.
A heart that’s seen
No daylight,
Since the sun was shot
Out the sky
By the knight’s
Bloodied arrow.

A soldier lies,
Pooled in his own life,
Raked across the chest
By a cold,
Unforgiving knife....
