A sober write for a dying life
Drugs? I doubt you have a greater reason to do it than me
All my life I used it to define sanity
But really it's insanity and you're too impaired to see
You see the world in negative
Drowning yourself in sedatives
Instead of becoming one with nature you become one with your couch
Lying to yourself saying that's what life is about
It's pathetic and naive as fuck
Depending on substances to be happy, do it yourself and grow the fuck up
Fuck your shit and the things you think you know
The higher you get the lower you go
A life worth living is the life...

I am lost, I just want to find my way out
My soul is black, to be enlightened
My body is tiny, to let go of ego
My mind feeds on drugs, leaving it open
My words are soft spoken, to always be humble
My compassion is weakness, a test for peace
I became selfish, to learn to be selfless
I was a follower, to rebel and be my own leader
I was denied my deathwish, to stop trying to die
I got everything I wanted to be happy, and threw it away
I thought I was free, instead imprisoned by me
I always looked for something better, to only receive worse

An Ode to Us, Lost Vegas
Stacks of empty beer cases
Leaning tower of shot glasses
Familiar faces in recent places
We are the ones who lace us
Standing on layers of cigarette filters
No one has an extra smoke either
Busting missions to parties so far
When there's no gas in your damn car
There's a bag filled with toxins
Reaching in we pick our poison
Moonrocks and emotional battles
All the serotonin our brain can handle
The feeling of not feeling anything
Like shots of morphine in my drink
Disconnect from your xanex connect
"I got you next...

Tweaked Write
Evaporating vapor of mist lingers in the air
Gazing bright eyes grow wide
Faced with a dilated stare
Clouds of thought storm my mind
This feeling of ecstacy is truly sublime
Freedom to do anything and a drive to roam far
I become the tires of a speeding car
The concentration from mindful meditation
Merged as one with the rush
Of an adrenaline sensation
Apathy replaced with optimism
Poetry flows smoothly
Like a subtle bass...
Gazing bright eyes grow wide

A Lack Of Life
Trembling bones, my body quivering
Another bite to assist my stomach exploding
I feel nauseous but I keep eating
Second hand smoke fills the room
Just to make it even more challenging
A lack of taste, a lack of smell
Trying to stop these negative thoughts
On which I dwell
I can't take this, I'll just light a cigarette
NO SHUT THE FUCK UP!
It's these thoughts that will get me dead
Another bite to down with this water
Makes me want to wear a noose
Around my collar
Another tear, another shard in my heart
How can eating...

These words bear the weight of a thousand emotions
Expression of thought
Embedded within my mind's mechanisms
The complexity of how I think,
Is something I can't comprehend
But I find myself dumbfounded
When the paper touches pen
The words I can't ever find to say
Just pop up in my head
As if I wrote this yesterday
The brain is an instrument
For consciousness to express
This pen is my outlet
For words to manifest
This paper is my temple,
Where I meditate
I am the Buddha,
In a tranquil state
This is the place where I find...

Nice Guys Finish Last
Don't worry you're not alone
I'm still your friend
Despite all your faults
There's nothing we can't mend
People are cruel and fake
Made of plastic as dark as light
You can't trust anyone
They're humans by day
And bloodsuckers by night
Humanity has lost touch
With our inner being
Corrupted ideals for selfish reasons
They don't get that we're spiritual beings
Having a human experience
Everyone is diluted
Piece of shit motherfuckers
Your hateful thoughts run on pain and anger
We're all mad here, it doesn't...

It has been a long time
Years pass and still I ask why
Why is it that I
Can't ever sleep at night
When I dream, I dream of you
Throwing it all away
Your voice is dead
Memories just stay
Green tea and cigarettes
Bowls filled with my regrets
I smoke til the pain in my chest is gone
My grave is dug
My will is done
It has been a fucking long time
I still can't sleep so I get high
I'm just here waiting for my pills to kick in
So I can lay on the couch again

Soaking the veins under my tongue
I savor this flavor
Not sure of what is yet to come
Conscience thoughts thought aloud
My face becomes numb
Emotions flow with the essence of introspection
Transcending time and space itself
Through the dimensions of the present
Kaleidoscope vision so vivid
I see the beauty of life and the inanimate
The intricacy of the universe surrounds me
I am the dazed clairvoyant
This trip is fucking crazy

Against The Stream
Surrounded by beings full of doubt
Degrading to what my life is about
Of speaking freely of peace and unity
I find myself lost in a crowd
That speaks with no remorse of indulgence in vanity
So I've built these walls around me
In an effort to keep my dignity
In a battle with me against the majority,
I must refrain from fighting mindlessly
I'll swim against the stream,
Waterfalls can't stop me
Like the bamboo that bends in the wind but will never be broken
Opposing forces are strong
But nothing is greater than rage built up by oppression...
Degrading to what my life is about
Of speaking freely of peace and unity
