LOVE POEM

cold touch
Why are we here now?
I’ve turned into someone I don’t even know
It’s my fault that I let you drag my heart down so low
You were all I ever cared about, had a dream in store for us.
But see I don’t even miss you, I miss the lust
The feeling of warmth in my heart for someone other than myself
And being able to admire our pictures on the shelf
Wanted to grow old with you, see our love blossom with children of our own
I cherished the ideas instead of the reality that I was living this dream alone
I lay next to you now with no sense of emotion in my body...

Life was so different last year
I was planning a life of happiness with the devil
Holding onto his hand, taking us to the next level
Only if I knew his intentions were to burn my soul
Break me down, drown my sorrow, bury my heart in a hole
Danced to his hypnotizing lyrics, speaking ever so softly in my ear
Oh how life was so different last year
The devil flooded my mind with lies to not face the pain he’ll cause
I danced in the fire singing the sweet song of hope, his act deserves applause
For I was fooled by the sweet kisses, beautiful lies, and blissful laughter ...

confusion at it's best
I have a tendency to be indirect
In everything I do I have that effect
Never clearly state what's on my mind
Trying to guide you to my thoughts completely blind
I'm always having a battle though
My heart and mind never exactly flow
Truth is they rarely cross the same path
Added unity for a moment, subtracted instantly, some fucked up math
But when they connect it's pure bliss
There for a moment til they part and I reminisce
When it comes down to this, I'll do my best to express
You came into my life when it was all a mess
You became my escape...
In everything I do I have that effect
Never clearly state what's on my mind

You were my king
Holding down our throne
But who would of questioned you when you were alone
You were suppose to be my role model
To show me how true love isn't dead.
But your word lost value when you chose deceit instead.
You break the heart of a women you once cherished.
You lost grip of our family and continue to watch it perish.

No strings attached was what we said
Tried to abide by the rules but lost sight instead
Where did you come from
I just want to feel numb
Who knew it would come down to this
Go from a toxic thrill to something we'll miss
So overwhelming with confusion
Everything's so perfect to create our own illusion
I want you in the worse way
I'm trying to explain this but unsure of what words to say
I have to try to keep you out of sight & out of mind
Well than lord please make me forget & be blind
Because we both know deep down this is real...

beautiful sweet girl
As the world crumbles down the cyclone
She's just a girl holding into what's left while she's alone
Trying to make sense of gods choices
To balance the minds logic & her hearts voices
She rolls up a smoke & smokes it all away
Her past & her present depends on today
Living in a world with no meaning as nothing's real
Everyone trying to drag her heart & soul down that spinning wheel
She's damaged, not broken trying to rebuild from all the pain
For all that she's cried, the rivers are different but the water is all the same
God has taught...

Where do I even begin
