Life for Rent
I've got a life for rent,
And it is going pretty cheap,
It's a little bit damaged and broken,
And it isnt much to keep.
So it's on sale, this life for rent,
It is tattered, ripped, and worn,
As I said before, it's cheap,
Used, abused, and torn.
So it matters not what you do with it,
I'll even give it away free,
I'm just tired of having to watch over it,
I just need to get it away from me.
It comes without a heart and soul,
If that helps decide.
There are some wounds and scars,
And secrets that still hide.
It's not worth much, A...

Tonight I will Forget You
Tonight I will forget you,
Tonight you'll slip my mind.
Tonight it seems I've lost you,
You are nowhere I can find.
Tonight you are so far away,
Tonight I'll sleep alone.
Tonight I feel you've gone astray,
Out with your heart of stone.
Tonight I will forget you,
I will forget my heart is sore,
Tonight I do not need you,
I can't take it anymore.
Tonight I will sleep soundly,
I will forget that you exist,
Tonight I will sleep proudly,
Knowing that I'll get through this.
Tired eyes and a tired mind,
That would never fall asleep,...

DARK POEM

Im Not Crazy
The walls they are unchanging,
And my mind is slowly slipping.
Just one phrase plays on repeat in my head,
Just like a record skipping.
I feel like I am doing well,
The doctor said I have improved,
All my sanity inside me,
I guess it was removed.
They lay me on a cold table,
And place my head between the shocks,
I start to laugh and smile,
As they restrain me with these locks.
I've been gone, a long long time,
Not physically, but my mind checked out.
I think I never really had it,
I never knew what it was all about.
I love the...

DRUGS POEM

Medicate
A dozen doctors have said I'm sick
That I need to be set straight.
Your much too morbid for life young child,
So you must medicate.
A dozen bottles of pills and potions,
These will relax your mind, they say
It's important that you take them child
The dosage is three times a day.
Take one when you wake up,
To forget those nasty dreams,
Take one in the middle of the day,
To silence out those screams.
And take one before bed my child,
So you may sleep at night,
It will block out all the bad things,
So you won't wake in fright.
And...

You know what love?
I'm done with you!
And all this pain you've put me through!
I'm not a toy for when you get bored,
I'm sick and tired of being ignored.
Your love it surely was a crime,
A trick, a fake, a waste of time.
Goodbye to all those summer nights,
Goodbye to all those city lights,
Goodbye to kissing in the rain,
Goodbye to heartbreak, hurt and pain.

This heart has handled far too much,

A Dance, A Devil, And the Sea
Down on the ocean,
Where the wind has ceased to blow,
A curtain of conformity,
Opened to a show.
And on that stage stood me,
On the ocean beach,
And opposite me, the devil,
Just close enough to reach.
The music strung up and we began,
Our dance that would not die,
For we have danced a thousand days,
And more, a thousand nights.
And forever we will dance and dance,
While waves then crash ashore,
And when the wave then crashes my heart,
I shall dance no more.
For I am forever keeping time,
With every step and beat,

'Til Death Do Us Part
Under the dying willow tree,
Is where my love betrothed to me,
With a smile yet sadness we could see,
Underneath that dying willow tree.
In this chamber we loved and spent,
Our time and love that I had lent,
To this pitiful bride by heaven sent,
Demon adored, yet heaven sent.
This love that betrothed to me,
Underneath that willow tree,
Where I loved her, but her not me,
There was no other quite like she.
For back in the chamber hearts are cold,
On opposite sides our love was sold,
For I watched the future gently fold,
