Distorted
Sighs, can I just break down for a minute?
Don’t need to play tough when no one’s around
Exhausted of this front…so tired of these feelings
Believe me when I say I wish my heart was my enemy
Deceived by my naivety…maliciously torn…beaten to a pulp…nothing hurts more
Optimism now on the back bench
Daily bread thrown aside
Don’t wanna continue with these lies tonight
With my last might…just let me cry
Captive of my sins…desperate for self-forgivement
...

I’m so in love with you
You’re my Derwin in ‘The Game’
You’re my Quincy McCall in ‘Love & Basketball’
Teddy bear…You’re my star…
Never thought I would feel this way
Never thought that in my life you’ll stay
Never felt love like this
You make me believe that magic…really does exist
Baby there’s nothing like loving you
And being loved by you
Now I believe Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge…to love
And be loved in return is the greatest thing we’ll ever learn

OBSERVATIONAL POEM

Dedicated to the kids on the Gaza Strip...(Wrote this poem last year, protect and love our children)
I thought my problems were big
until I heard the news of bombing on the Gaza strip
trying to decipher how it would feel to constantly run to survive
to hide before they take my life...being a grown-up child
because mummy or daddy was no longer alive...
I tried to remember when I was most scared
and it was at that time when badmen threaten my siblings' lives
it replayed in my head at nights for quite a while...
oh how easily a child becomes traumatized
Even though violence was once my way of...

Lonely boy...
You can never tell by looking that inside he’s dying
He smiles so bright but even after 25 years…at nights he still cries
No matter what he does…the emptiness expands
Without any reason he suddenly gets sad
He thinks over & over that no one cares
But he never dared to let anyone near
Fearful that they’ll see the monster of terror that plagues his soul
That makes him so damn cold
Peace of mind is one of the things he most craves
Sometimes he wishes his bed was the grave
He tried talking to God but God never seemed to hear
He hit himself...

Single...
Nobody wants to be alone
so they settle for any hole
shacking up with any ole' ho
But not me...not anymore
World, I demand you release me from captivity
where I foreplay in immoral activity for my comfort's sake
for loneliness always thinks it needs a date
and everyone believes they should have a queue of 'soulmates'
But true love waits...and so I'll wait for you
and I know you'll be worth it
Sex is sweet...but when you're with the one, 'tis sweeter
True love's kiss...
