the book of love
I thought that we were "once upon a time"
"forever" cliche,s sprang to mind
but it was just your light that blinded me
so well rehearsed you knew exactly how id feel
your script had hold of me right off
and it took time to realise
my face mirrored in so many other souls
left in the devastation of your wake
and i was left adrift between the lines
somewhere along in the book of love
and i cant stand to read again
so i guess i,ll just close the book
The subtle changes way over my head
turned into stuttering...

Baydir and elyeanor
Across a crimson field that bled
his gaze fell on ten thousand dead
his sword and armour ran blood red
yet none of it was his
sheathing his blade almar now
he pulled his helm from sweat stained brow
and thought upon a sacred vow
from his lady elyeanor
saying "send a message straight away
with news about the battles fray
and if none comes i,ll fear the worst
that you are dead the battle lost
your flame extinguished, your spirit flown
and you journey on the great dark road
but travel slow my heart, is all i ask

Hectors Dream
A speck on the horizon
I strain my eyes to see
A chariot with two passengers
whipping frenzied horses
through a storm of dust
I shift uneasily in my armour
I am prepared
Yet stil fears cold sweat
races down my spine
closer now i see one of them
His golden helm flashing in the sun
I know them
They slow to a halt
and walk toward me
Its over
Achilles has come
And death is his passenger
I strain my eyes to see

The Wallflower
She hoped someone would notice her
perhaps a stranger passing by
she knew she wasnt as pretty as all the rest
she hoped someone would see
all the colours she could bring...
...but no one ever came.
She wished someone would speak to her
the words that lovers use
a line or two perhaps would make her bloom
or just a single word
on which her hopes could cling...
...but no one ever did
She ached for love inside
and lost herself in dreams
of others who were just as lost as she
she invented...
perhaps a stranger passing by

The vampires kiss
welcome, warm,that first soft kiss
promising rapture, lovers bliss
senses reeling, out of place
mouths exploring, tongues embrace
moving snake like neck and chest
desperate still to taste the rest
where twin proud ivory towers are stood
topped by blushing scarlet buds
on the scented trail i follow
a velvet nest twixt heavens pillows
speaking softly with no sound
lip to lip on venus mound
to the peak she pushes hard
a honeyed sip is my reward
hands now grab and pull me up
and tear me from the loving cup
embraced by urgent moans...
promising rapture, lovers bliss

The survivor/Anthem for the bullied
The tell tale weave of cuts and scars
speak volumes of just who you are
they say self harms a wake up call
the sign before the final fall
but not as bad as those inside
invisible scars, the ones that hide
the wounds put there by someone else
that make you start to doubt yourself
their hate feeds and grows your fears
till all your self worth disappears
you hit the wall, you scream and shout
and realise theres no way out
then bright she shines the silver blade
her blinding light pointing the way
its powerfull...

Step into the darkness
where another world awaits
one step into darkness
one step beyond the gate
step into the darkness
and set the real you free
the one who hides in daylight
the one you want to be
