X on the Bottle
There's an X on the bottle...
If you wave it or shake it
You might see through it--
Maybe you should sit,
Does your thoughts fall
Like Towers?
Does your mouth rush
Like Niagara?
Can you hear the cries from it,
The ill-prescribed contents
That spins your head numb
Like a broke wine-o?
Speak to me and see
If your words are complete.
Look away from the label,
And put the bottle on the table...
Come and walk with me
In a nice cool breeze--
If you wave it or shake it
You might see through it--
Maybe you should sit,

Mary Wollstonecraft Shelly
For the fans of horror there is one who truly belongs among
the top rankings. She may not have written as many books as
some have written, though she did write one particular book which
literally stalked the history pages.
Her name was Mary Wollstonecraft Shelly (I will refer to her
as Mary Shelly), and the book is Frankenstein: or, The Modern
Prometheus.
Mary Shelly wrote the story during a weekend gathering with
her poet husband Percy Shelly and a few other couples. On one
stormy night the group decided to take part in a writing contest
to see...

DARK POEM

My Secret Siren
Something is coming over me, and I see a darkness above--
It seems to be slowly descending, rescinding my remaining light--
Its falling is like a rain enthralling me, soaking my soul
And all of my very being... I am seeing the blackness running
Like a dark-haired Siren stroking my hair--
I cannot but listen to her calmly whisper,
And sweet are the words she so darkly speaks--
My words I would write, they falter,
Then in my ear I hear those things, outwardly unspoken
But told only to me... it is she who now holds me
As the darkness enfolds me, and I can...

What Might've Been So Long Ago
What might've been so long ago
My mind could never know--
I faint collect those days to me,
In haste the hours flee;
then a moment, stranded
upon my mind, is granted
a stay in memory--
Find I then a lost reflect?
Or is it but a speck
Of tainted 'morrows ill-untold,
A vacuum of the soul?
then a thought landed
and from my soul expanded
what should've been so long ago--
Flee, my thoughts, fly!
Lead me to how, not why
The whims of deepened flow
Persist upon my soul;
then the memory handed
as it reprimanded,...
My mind could never know--

Remembering
I feel a jogging memory
But none so that i gain
A picture-perfect recollect
But none to be the same-
It bounced about the membranes
And peaked upon my mind,
Some alphabetic test I tried
When at first I could not find-
It is only when the jogging stops
And the wheels, they cease to turn,
When something far is sudden near
That is then that I have learned-
But none so that i gain

I look ahead in my life
And see the span of what is left,
The time I may have is hopeful,
The years gone are not in vain-
Mistakes have been made a mixture
Of memories of triumphs, of blame,
But my soul sought comfort in the Highest
So that I am delivered from Shame-
Now that my years I have trodden
Are well the back roads behind,
Though unknown is the time set before me
I shall be known to have lived only mine-
And see the span of what is left,
The time I may have is hopeful,
The years gone are not in vain-
