SECURED
There is no darkness,
except for in the shadows of your mind.
Where one day i hope for you to find a shard of bright light,
so you can cut yourself free from your self appointed prison,
built with your words.
furnished by your imagination, inmates made of doubt
Your conscience,your warden
an inmate yourself
you will never be free of ,
the "prison" of me

CONFLICTION
I sit and stare
my mind is
i know not where
dreams and illusions
collide inside,
something, somewhere
seems to have died
i am confused, at what i feel
not knowing for sure what is real
just come my love
and sit beside me
and set my heart free
help me to see
for the first time with open eyes
truth be told, bury your lie
as a tear escapes my glazen eye..
i just want to feel, feel for real
that hope remains.
my mind is
i know not where
dreams and illusions

seems to have died

MISCELLANEOUS POEM

wordlings
With just a Scintilla of an idea striking
like a ripple in the offing
i considered the 'thing'
gazing upon it with awe,
noting that it had petrichor
as it entered the penumbra
it had cast over the floor.

But my gaze was returned
with a depth that burned
from what i could only describe
as similar to a chatoyant
then a Susurrous
and Surreptitious sound
fills the air all around
conflating ,creating ...

TIME DIES
walking down the road of shadows
i am a shining light
it happened outside the bar
as i was heading to my car
a knife in my back,
i fall, hit my head
stone cold now in life
stone cold dead
as i walk down the road of shadows
seeing echoes of my life
also
times not lived
places not been
sights and sounds never to be seen
the life i would have lived
the darkness is mean
i cry out, my light suddenly brighter
illuminating the shadows
banishing the sights
i meet saint peter
as if reading my rights
has your life...

INSOM-NUH-UH
It's hard sitting feeling,
as an insomniac
staring into the dark so black
travelling through the night
urging forth the morning light
eyelids drooping, body heavy
wanting to pay the sandmans levy
but time it passes steady but quick
and still i yearn for sleeps deft kick
into dreams and escape
from the day before
i wish i was
a sleep whore.

OBSERVATIONAL POEM

...LOST...
i perused the confused
the lost and the broken
with their muddled views and clear delusion
staring into space, expressionless face
with locked in syndromes,
sitting on the hospital thrones
lost in an eternity,
in mind they sing and dance aloud
in body they stand, defeated and cowed
chemical control keeping the peace
pills and potions
controlling the motions
acting as thought police
can never cease
or breakaway
hope for death
every
day

Sat , seated
It ended , defeated
"Could not see
What went wrong"
I say
In dismay
Token gestures
False smiles
My friends
And passers by
witnessing also
the tragic fate
I'd left some
on the plate.

UNSEEN
Shhhwinggggg balla balla bing,
i heard the hostiles sing, the naked men ,
in a den of iniquity,tearing at her clothes,
a collection of
david's
john's
chris's
and joe's
she'd been grabbed you see
as she walked at night
by men so foul,
they'd give the devil a fright
driven crazy now
by insaitable lust
about to kill forever
a young womans trust
the gang was loose again
roaming at night
they all thought it nothing but a jape
commiting the worst crime
that of rape.
emotionally
psychically
mentally...

THAT BEAUTIFUL STAR
b]Shining is the sun,
deep orange,
it's rays soothing
caressing my face
as i look up,seeing the road ahead
I'm travelling home.
I wish i wasn't
times have been great,
with music and friends,
beer and fun
but most of all, there's been the sun
oh, how I've missed you
while you've had your winters rest,
as playing the club, when you went down
I've never felt so alive staring out at the sea
I'm glad dear sun you have returned back to me[/b]

UPBEAT POEM

SERENITY
What is this feeling known as inner peace,
do i have to buy it? take it out on lease?
i don't think it's too much to ask
but its so hard to gain ,a simple task
But every day, as i wake,
it's a task i continue to take
doing what i can, for a better day
doing it different ,each and every way.
Because one day i'm sure,
i'll reach that place,
where the sun shall fall,
with warmth upon my face.
So to all out there, aiming for the same
take responsibility, don't pass blame,
But most importantly, never cease
as one day...
do i have to buy it? take it out on lease?
i don't think it's too much to ask
but its so hard to gain ,a simple task
But every day, as i wake,
it's a task i continue to take

PERFECTION IN MUSIC
At peace ,sitting, my feet in the cool damp sand..
hues of burnt orange,deep blues, and whipped grey clouds surround me..
an excited breeze flows around me ,the very air seeming to come alive,
i get up ,and take a breath
i lay the tone arm down, it crackles, repeating
headphones on , the track starts beating.
like ghostly silhouettes, in the fires haze
the crowd starts to arrive and the music plays
darkness has fallen now, the sun is dead
the music winds up filling my head
the crowd now moving in unison,
listening to the lyrics and what is said...

MIXOLOGY
I placed the vinyl on the platter's,
the tone arm's down, the silence shatters,
the beat drops in hard and fast,
then the lyrics are heard, said at last.
as the music plays on, it's sonic heaven.
A chill creeps in, within my spine,
the emotions hitting im feeling fine,
and now the track's coming to an end,
setting up the next, checking levels,
the crowd wants more, dancing devils
i need to fade, a little pitch bend.....
its just mixology ,the perfect blend.
I look up, as im slightly bowed
eyes flickering, reading the...
