I have always written poetry, but never published it. If someone gets a smile or a tear out of something I wrote, I did my job.

" My Happy Endings "
I hung myself with the ropes of reality,
Gently swaying with lowered head,
I slit my wrist with a shard of hope,
Second guessed til I no longer bled,
Asphyxiation from broken dreams,
Held until my lungs finally seized,
Jumped of the building of a broken heart,
A stain for all the world to see,
I shot myself with a large caliber of truth,
Memories slid down the wall,
I starved myself of a loving touch,
No happy ending after all,
An overdose of sadness is what they've found,
Slumped over, a stiff, cold being,
They now can...

" Nearly Gone "
It was the worst of times,
I could honestly say,
Mortgage so far behind,
Impossible to pay,
Over across town,
In that big factory made of brick,
My job of 18 years,
Gave me the pink slip,
The love of my life,
Took the baby and walked,
She never looked back,
Refusing to talk,
With a bottle of vodka,
I drowned my sorrows that day,
Then it became clear,
How to take it all away,
On my way to the closet,
Finding a reason to stop,
I reached for the top,
And grabbed my 9mm glock,
On the empty...

" Dear Step-Daddy "
You saw my tears,
You heard my fears,
Yet, you stared at me with contempt,
You saw my pain,
You caused my pain,
Yet, somehow you were exempt,
I needed you,
You knew that,
You never even bothered,
I was just a boy,
A helpless boy,
You were supposed to be my father,
You raised your fist,
Bruised my love,
Never once making you smile,
They were your sons,
True sons of blood,
I was your bastard child,
You hated me,
You always did,
But wouldnt let me run,
You lost control,
So...
You heard my fears,

" Speed of Sludge "
Chards of glass and broken dreams,
Decorate me as I fall,
Baptized in a pool of sorrow,
Only memories of standing tall,
Open me up to see inside,
Run your fingers through my decay,
With rainy thoughts and crippled hopes,
Its where Im forced to stay,
Beaming light will radiate,
Illuminates the hurt,
The laughing clowns have everything,
I am left holding dirt,
Invisible to the outside world,
My sun will never shine,
The cracks on my knees now separate,
Wasting faith on vacant skies,
The hour hand has damaged...
Decorate me as I fall,

" The Monster "
Oh God Wont you help me?
I alone unlocked his cage,
Now he leaves me not,
Ive allowed him to find his place,
His shackles tear into my brain,
Refusing to pull away,
My spirit has been extinguished,
Is this the price I pay?
I call him the monster,
Only he controls my fate,
I call him the monster,
Endless supplies of hate,
I call him the monster,
Weighs me down with his bricks,
I call him the monster,
But you call him dopesick,
He used to be so small,
Would only come around a bit,
Now...

" Alone Again With Me "
Keep me from myself,
So I can do no wrong,
I can't blame no one else,
I have never been that strong,
Paths that lead to nowhere,
Now beyond the blame,
Back down on my knees,
Again it calls my name,
Here I am, alone again,
Distorting everything I see,
Tear my soul, and wreck my life,
Leaving me alone again with me,
This war inside my head
Tempting me with lies,
Blinded by reality,
This reflection I despise,
What have I become?
I never meant to harm,
Myself is who I hate,
Stick this needle in my arm,...
