Darker Space 2: Star Child
She called me
And taught me a lesson
She called me
And asked me a question
Would I enter the rocket pointing away
And let the thrusters burn
Would I travel with her
And never return
She called me with a lesson
And I was starting to learn
That this place
However dark a space
It is filled with good as well as evil
And I could not bear to leave its people
I could smell the salt stain the phone line
Through tears she said the loss was mine
And she got in the pilot’s seat
Readying herself for the stars
So I asked her to wait...
And taught me a lesson
She called me
And asked me a question

Darker Space 1: the question
She called
And taught me a lesson

She wanted a way out
And in her hand she had a pass
To enter a rocket pointing away
She had two and she asked
Would I like to leave these four walls
And find a place called home
She said she was going
And didn’t want to go alone
Tired of the nights she would defend
And the days of attack
She warned if we left
We would not come back
She called the only person
Whom she wanted a new start
She called the one who understood
And she was...

The devil "I do"
Why walk to the devils you don't
Fear is the unknown
Meaning the one you do
Never holds power grown
He knows your preferences
He knows your taste
He'll lay you to waste
With a smile on your face
Above the justified means
Beyond the nightmares turned to dreams
I don't just look to the devil I do
For the price he knows I will choose
I turn to him because the angels
...

I won't

Surface
Under the surface
It’s always under the surface
When life asks too much
When it hurts more to feel
Than to touch my torments
I release all in the ocean
Under the surface
It’s always under the surface
I can scream
I can swim
I move slower
I feel nothing
Even the pain can disappear
The need to rise can be suppressed
For as long as I need
I have a towel waiting above
I can wrap myself in troubles once more
But what if
What if I waited
Waited and waited
Under the surface
Always under the surface
It’s always under the surface

From Divine Grace to American Muscle
If anyone asks
I’m a storm chaser
Looking for lightning
When clouds gather
And the sky splits
That’s when feathers fail
And friends fall
I drive after them
Pick them up
And they learn
The lay of the land
I hope this engine is worth
What I paid for it
See I need to be fast
Aside from learning the reins
Of a new form
Absent of flight
When lightning strikes
Earthquakes soon follow
Famished fissures
Hungry for the fallen
You don’t wanna know
What happens if this engine
Isn’t worth what I paid for it

walk on top of rain
These burnt hands
Are tired of grasping desperately
Clutching any and all proceeding thunder
I’m tired of being torn from home
Torn from nature
Torn by the winds
I am weathered
For I only see clear
At the eye of the storm
I am sick of seeing the earth uproot itself
I have been taken by a twister
And I hope to reach the top
As the hoard of hands reach down
And lift me up
So that I may
Walk on top of rain
Are tired of grasping desperately

I wanted a life lead by the Mona Lisa smile
When some hot guy walks by
You need to play it cool
That is how you make steam
So I earned this body
I added the sss
I walked into the club a black hole
Leaving glances and breath bereaved
It wasn’t enough to earn this body
Those hunting eyes had to believe

7/5/2012 (one of those nights)
It’s another one of those nights
The clock’s too slow
I’m thinking too fast
It’s another one of those nights
One I’m trying to last
I got bad ways to make better days
The voice in my head is talking like the TV
Just say no
That’s not a place you want to
Go back to
I used to self harm
And I want to chance my arm
It’s another one of those nights
I’m hanging on for dear life
Fuck the poetic portrayal of strife
See my head is stuck in time
Trapped in mistakes of mine
Stupid stuff I did cause I was scared

What Enticed His Wrath
Like Newton’s situation
The apple longed for a human hand
That first bite can never be described
Its juices ran down the throat
Like a perfect stream
A crawling vein of delicious lifeblood
It crunched perfectly
With taste of sweetness
No fruit of this garden could mimic
No knowledge came with this
No rush of the serpent’s motives and means
It was just an apple
A forbidden apple
Another bite
Absent of magic and Lucifer’s influence
But even the word of our Lord shrivelled in comparison
To the sweetness owned by us
I guess...

Take me to the edge
Promise me we can fly
Let’s keep the waves beneath us
Let’s be so close
Nothing stands between us
Suck the air out of my lungs
Tell me my heart still beats
Tell me what the stars are like
Say they’re safe to stand on
Say it’s safe to go there
Leave marks that I have to hide
Sleep under my skin
Where you reside
Dance the difference
