Transfoming the Empty
Bare
Cold and dark
I feel nothing as time passes
My heart cadged within a snare
Hollowed
As a cave
Deep within my soul
My want the silence has swallowed
Cold
As snow
I feel it has bitten me
Years have I been frozen by its hold
The world around me moves
I see it passing
Others walking
My lack of motion it proves
Still
My words bloom as roses
Portraying there full beauty in present moment
Hiding the stain on my heart that keeps me ill
Lost
I seek meaning
But find only dry...

Requiem of the silver blade
A silver blade lays in rest on ice
Touched by winters bitter vice
It waits for fingers grip
To loose from slumber as a whip
To seal the fate
Of those wondering eight
But against its will
Youthful hands find its skill
Innocent of the hidden malice
Youth carries the blade into his palace
Now woken from its sleep
It burns for the vengeance it can reap
It will twist and pervert
Youth’s heart it must subvert
For its goal must be met

My smile a facade
You notice me when I enter
Though only my façade do you see
I smile and join with my act
But you fail to sight my plea
I walk within the group
Joining with those around
Still none seem to notice
My every beseeching sound
None have seen past
This façade flawless
Or even stood and asked
If truly there is solace
For I have shouted
Bared my heart raw
Until intent and want
Failed to show my every flaw
You ask me with a smile
“How are you?”
My reply is contrary to the truth
Yet you fail to see...

Knowing
Knowing
I ache within
My heart
Pounds beneath this skin
Every moment there
Holds me tight
As I endeavor not to stare
Yet still I look
Though trepidation lurks so near
I feel my eyes open bare as a book
How do I speak
And keep my heart from showing
All the while smiling
Yet I fear the knowing
My steps carry me close
Each pace illuminating my true intent

Capable of facing your fears when Beheld
Offering your life to save another, yours you must Renounce
Until you stand against the foes, that seek to harm Anyone
Running toward unbeatable odds without knowing if you will be Victorious
Abandoning that freezing fear in place of valor Embraced
Guarding another when you are at Risk
Effortless action made when hope is gone and fear cries for you to Yield

The Groom
My mind is numb
I hear only the final strum
Each cord prior
Was twisted by my desire
The notes grow slower
As the tune fall lower
My heart is still within my chest
The final harmony has reached its crest
Silence grips the room
Stilling its crave to bloom
My hands tremble at this hush
As it heralds a need to blush
This moment holds my trepidation
Yet such pails when held to my elation
A beauty blinding now stands at my side

Storm's sorrow
Thunder caught in a shadows veil
Sleet dancing through a twisting gale
The storm rages in ardent wrath
As lightning scrapes its shimmering path
The ground is churned by the rains fist
The earth unable to resist
The wind howls in a gleeful din
As friend to rain and lightning both unalienable kin
The storm plays across plain and mountain alike
Wishing to finds its like
But no kinfolk to be found
None to return the storms somber sound

You offered me aid
As I lay within the glade
My life ebbing in decay
A wound incurred by running astray
I refused to look when you called my name
But you touched me with your flame
Now my heart burns with a fear
One of reverence so near
It guides my feet
Down that path where we meet
And when I dare to look back
It begins to attack
The fear and fire keep me walking straight
Holding me back from the poisoned bait
I begin to learn ...

The young boy squeezed the small cloak over his shoulders. The coach rolled smoothly down the dirt road carrying him farther away every moment. He tried not to cry, instinct told him there would be no sympathy from the dark garbed man sitting to his left.
