POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I am a visual artist and occasional writer
Convictions
I would regret my nature
As I do many actions lost,
But as I sit and reminisce,
I wonder what would be the cost.
Never lose those convictions
You have held your whole life through.
They have helped to shape the man I love.
They are what makes you, you.

Rollercoaster
I tell you all the time
You’re such a rollercoaster.
But that’s why people love them so much right?
All the ups and downs…
And I certainly love you.

I Can't Handle It
I can't handle it.
I'm almost bursting at the seams.
Because it seems you remain out of reach.
But there's so much,
And I'm just one.
Without you the whole world just comes undone.
I can't handle it.

My Rock
My rock
My sunshine
My ocean
How will I anchor?
Where will I bathe?
When will these weary bones see the light of day?

To The Girls
Forgive me.
I stole a glance up your shirt
While helping you manage the ladder.
I can still see the heart
You inscribed upon my hand
That day, I hadn’t any clue.
Now I know, I should have known
I would be great friends with you.
With a most ecstatic hug,
I soaked in your laugh.
Your smile, my photograph, your sculpture,
Someone would say
They mirrored one another.
Coming in from the beach,
Sunburned in the dark,
I bend down and wash your feet,
We are sandy. Giddy....
I stole a glance up your shirt
While helping you manage the ladder.
I can still see the heart
You inscribed upon my hand
That day, I hadn’t any clue.
Now I know, I should have known
I would be great friends with you.
With a most ecstatic hug,
I soaked in your laugh.
Your smile, my photograph, your sculpture,
Someone would say
They mirrored one another.
Coming in from the beach,
Sunburned in the dark,
I bend down and wash your feet,
We are sandy. Giddy....
