The Sky
the sky moves at a lackadaisical pace
clouds shapeshift in celestial space
the blue turns to white and back again
shadows cast upon the sunlights grin
the wind dances to the tune of the wind
whimsical silence echoes within
a minor to those who can hear
soul changing sounds from the inner ear
the sky shatters to the sound of a tear
as thunder and lightning draw ever so near
mournful rain pulls the color from light
with a deafening sound the blinding of sight
the sky dies within my own eyes
cascading grey across my wondering...

My Statued Silhouette
I will be a friend to all
and an enemy to none
unless I am crossed
then beware my wrath
I stand
strangled by my own hands
I lie
strangled by my own hands
I die
strangled by my own hands
I will be a friend to all
and an enemy to none
unless I am crossed
then beware my wrath
I assure you
you won’t want to be the one
that has to endure me
I stand
strangled by my own hands
alone in the dark
as a statued silhouette
I stand
and an enemy to none
unless I am crossed
then beware my wrath
I stand
strangled by my own hands
I lie
strangled by my own hands
I die
strangled by my own hands

My Final Sunrise
On the horizon the burning sunrise
sets the sky ablaze
within my chest I feel my heart rest
as the sunlight steals my gaze
shades of fire dance in the morning sky
reds and oranges fade to yellow
silhouettes in my eyes
swaying in perfect tempo
my senses fall numb as my eyes drink in the sight
muted ears sleep in silence
my skin unknowingly warmed by the light
engrossed in sensory decadence
not sound nor word could form my lips
to describe the beauty I envision
into a trance my mind has slipped
without a conscious...

Innocence
the world is an oyster
the perception
and expectation
unjaded
innocence is held
in the souls
of our infants
the world revolves
around a smile
a cackle of a laugh
and a baby’s cry
our hearts smile
and laugh with them
just as they break
upon the sound
of their unhappiness
the perception
and expectation
unjaded
innocence is held
in the souls
of our infants
the world revolves
around a smile

The Ultimate Release
my words have fallen upon deafened ears
my thoughts upon a dying mind
my tears have dried
and fallen to ash at my own feet
with the passing of time
sorrow has found a home here
and settled within my erosion
in the lines
and pits of my skin
dissolving corrosion
my smile has died a thousand deaths
my laugh stemmed within my throat
my frown has become a fixture upon my face
carved within the stone
dread has too come to stay
resting upon my brow
casting subtle shadows down my face
and illuminating my frown
...

Just Another Day
I shake my head
and grind my teeth
at the audacity of this life
the irony you can't choke back
and the forces you cannot fight
with clinched fists
and red blurred vision
I face this fucking day
the anxiety
and all of this panic
inner turmoil and rage
I squint my eyes
to force the tears
back where they belong
not an ounce of any weakness
only showing that I’m strong
I nearly severe my own tongue
as not to cause a fuss
knowing goddamn good and well
I don’t really give a fuck
I love the relentless kicks to the...

Subsides
within the grey of the morning sky
behind the clouds where the light subsides
a hollow release of a timid sigh
too shallow for the world to take notice
a sullen breeze carries the whispered cry
across the air the echoed plight
and when the words fall from sight
the world is too shallow to take notice
a question asked behind swollen eyes
what happens when emotions die?
upon the ground the tears have dried
too shallow for the world to take notice
emersed in the grey of a mourning sky

The Picture
saw a picture of myself standing with a smile
hardly knew it was me
the eyes were the same only not as sad
but the smile was something I haven’t seen
the picture looked at me with wonderment
fearing we were the same
and knowing that something in the real me
has drastically changed
dark circles of stress overshadow the glow
eclipsing the light in my eyes
dimming the gleam to just above dull
without ever affecting my sight
the glow in my eyes shines back at me
as I glance at the picture again
looking at who I use to be...

From An Angel's View
as laughs and the smiles fill the room
the spirit of the season protects them from harm
the bond of a family
and the unity of those
who place their trust
and well being in the hands
of each other...
a candle flame flickers
atop the mahogany mantel
adorned with keepsake figurines
and colorful stockings
the black bricks within the fireplace
a timeline of history
layers of family gatherings
charred with memories
the wind whips
against the old wood framed windows
ancient glass etched with...

The Sun
all along a cold winters day
the sun shone in a most peculiar way
though the clouds tried to dim its light
the sun continued to brightly shine
upon the ground the shadow casts
a dark and dingy sorted past
but up ahead the light was clear
not like the light and thats dull back here
as the shadow grew oh so long
the shining sun hummed its song
a joyful tune pitched A sharp
caressed the air of the winters day
but the shadows are devoid of sound
never heard the hum abound
so all along the winters day
the shadow stumbled...
