Commonly the fight dies out …
Because there is nothing left to burn.
Shallow sorrys’ sometimes follow
Without lessons ever learned.

Makes a brick of feelings repressed
A brick of avoided conflicts
Never resolved, discussed, or addressed.
The spark is always a ‘little thing’
Not worth fighting for correction
Returning to ignite the flame
Leading gradual regression
Unaddressed disappointments
