Thoughts on Green Communism
I refuse to say too much t the risk of sounding utopian or dictating the future
While none of us could know what a green society would need to be like there is a few things it isn't too difficult to see it would require:
•It would have to be anarchist i.e. anti-state, anti-capitalist, anti-hierarchy, anti-patriarchy. No borders or nations. It must be opposed to all forms of oppression. It must be a grassroots democracy, egalitarian and without private property.
•more localism but international coordination
•wholescale reorganization of food, technology,...

The Anarchist view of the state.
The Leninist view of the state (allegedly Marxist -which is debatable)
Simply put- the capitalist state is bad .We must crush it , destroy it, in revolution then take control of it making it into a peoples or workers state, while we transition into Communism and then it will wither away.
The Anarchist view of the state
"State, any State -- even when it dresses-up in the most liberal and democratic form -- is essentially based on domination, and upon violence, that is upon despotism -- a concealed but no less dangerous despotism. "-Bakunin

How bad my family relationships are.
Ah this is why I left for England. I feel my family restricting, suffocating, smothering, emotionally cold, don't understand me, show no care for how I feel ,don't give me time alone, give me negativity, make me feel guilty. I feel so passive at home and not in control of my life.
There is negative patterns of behaviour in my family relationships. They make negative remarks and put me down/ are overly judgemental. I feel emotionally distant from them/ distant values wise.
Something as small as forgetting to make cup of tea sees me shot down as a failed human being.
My family...

Thoughts on Taoism
Convergence with Nature: A Daoist Perspective by David E. Cooper
-
Enjoyable sophisticated account that avoids stereotypical characterisations like primitivism while explaining central concepts like Wu Wei ( Wu Wei is not passivity or apathy but spontaneity) , Dao( the way which opens the way to all other ways putting 'The' before it is wrong ) , Te( 'virtue' 'power'), and the Taoist opposition to dualism ( it does not reduce everything down to bits of some mushy whole or deny differences exist). Very rarely have I seen those treated in such a careful cautious attentive fashion....

What kind of world is THIS
what kind of world is this
when we have empty buildings
but streets filled with homeless
what kind of world is this
when so much food goes to waste
goes in the bin
when there's countless people
starvin'
strugglin' to afford to buy anythin'
what kind of society is this
where it's mostly the poor
and black in jails
not my society
clearly this society fails
when we have empty buildings
but streets filled with homeless
what kind of world is this

goes in the bin

The daffodils
Oppressive winters frost
hardened the ground and the heart
with the blooming of
the daffodils
now set to depart.
the coming
hope's spring
the sun and renewal
the treasures of life the rising will bring.
life and death
locked in duel
but victory to joy
in the 'merry month of may'
verdant greens claim the day.
leaves to life
health of harmony
a fresh chapter of the biosphere's story.

Oh sweet tortuous city
Oh sweet tortuous city
cold and without care
The Cowgate
home of life and light
now sounds the echoes of the poor
old howls
and the current ones
you are unwelcome everywhere
haunted by the memory of place
tyrannical nostalgia
thousand lives intersect
cannot be untangled
for better and for worse
overtaking the people of these streets history
in the grassmarket
pain swings back and forth like a pendulum
not easy to leave
(Writers Note: on Edinburgh in dark moods)

Reformists want to tackle the symptoms
Revolutionaries want to tackle the cause
we know progress is not
nationalization
as stated in the old fourth clause
we want to fracture what is
and would do so
without pause.
Reformists would leave the tooth to ache
put buckets under the leak and leave it to drip
we revolutionaries want to go to the root, the source,
go to the heart of the matter and give 'the sub rosa'
the snip.
I'm told I just want the Soviet Union or Cuba
but I say both of them are Leninist

How I smiled
when you told me
you'd love to quote
back to me
my poetry
with those
Carmel eyes
glistening
like the surface
of
St Margaret's
Loch
in
Summer.
2.
I woke from anxious dreams
too often
lost and longing
are familiar friends
I shake myself
and beat
the drum
of
sense
to erase ...

There is a gaping hole
where my heart
should be
now filled
with
leaves grass straw
light it
watch it burn
the smokes acrid smell
dissolving
my self
and
sense of
joy

Inspired by reading Chinese poetry etc.
Inspired by reading Chinese poetry, by romantic relationships and by activist burnout.
1.
Love
smoke in the wind
the hawk in flight
the mouse caught in it's talons.
2.
The festival is over
dancing ended
candles extinguished
books lie unread
emptiness like clouds.
3.
The fish jumping out of the river
quickly submerged again
the moon behind the clouds
laughter fading to silence
scorned grass burnt in the sun
the unwatered seed fails to grow
4.
flames burnt out
"sharpen the blade...
