POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Gone
They all ask, "What happened to the girl we used to know?"
I reply, "I killed her a long time ago."
Yes, I became a heartless bitch.
But only because it's what I had to do to survive, though I don't know what I thought I was going to miss.
I remember the day she died.
She was screaming on a bathroom floor, couldn't tell the difference between blood and lies.
I looked down at her, feeling nothing.
She looked at me in wild desperation, eyes in suffering, throat whimpering, hands reaching out for something.
There was only one thing...

Prologue
What's at the beginning will fade at the end.
Hatred is your only friend.
Fear and lust mix in your eyes,
Trembling as his hand slips between your thighs.
Pleasure ruptures, dancing with moans.
For a moment you forget what it's like to be alone.
He looks at you with want and need,
Perfect lips part to beg you "Please."
Clothes start to fall like ashes from fire,
Always willing to please the liar.
Exotic pulling straight to the shivering core,
With a gasping breath whisper..."Baby...more."

Lines
You showed me the scars.
Four perfectly straight pale lines leaving your perfect body slightly marred.
The sight sent battery acid to my stomach.
Not because of disgust or shame, it was because it made my heart plummet.
Oddly enough, I loved you more in that moment.
Because I have one too, back from when my mind was less of a friend and more of an Opponent.
I couldn't touch the blade you see, I wanted to make it personal.
I'd scratch with my nails until I'd scab and bleed, this act of self doubt just rehearsal.
I pulled you into my warmth, feeling...

Violent, staring down a .45
The story far from ending, amazing to think it's only at the starting line.
I wonder what they would do to a girl like me in prison.
21 bullet holes from 21 guns sounds like a mighty fine preposition.
The impression that I'm getting is that we were all born to fail.
Some of us in the right way, avoiding life's guillotine sharpened and ready to impale.
Everything around us falls apart.
Whispering "You're a liar" is the only truthful thing that touches our hearts.
In this mad world we live in it's a wonder that...

Rambles of Myself
Hitchin' a ride down the roads of nowhere,
My bullet proof heart unflinching to the sound.
The sound of your curses as starlight was the only thing to guide us.
Stripped down to the basics, we stopped caring about the drive and more about the journey.
This is my life story.
Rays of sun dripped in acid left to burn everything it touches.
This was a story about a girl.
Pushed so hard back against the wall all she knew how to do was hate the world.
I don't care about your sympathy.
When I hit the floor I get back up so I don't know what the fuck...

Need
I need to hear your voice.
It's fading from my memory, becoming dull and void.
I scramble for the sound.
In desperation I tear apart my brain neuron by neuron until it's found.
You're becoming flashes to me.
Not even a solid person anymore, a drifting figure I can barely see.
I'm so scared.
I'm losing you so I can't have you when I need you there.
It's been so long now.
I'm trying to keep you in my life but I don't know how.
I hate this suspension.
Sucking away my blood, crushing me under tension.
Where the hell are you?

Poof. Gone.
I miss him like the empty puzzle piece in the picture.
Most of it's still there.
But it's the holes that people stare at, whatever it was supposed to be damned.
I've finally figured out my holes.
They're there because of the incredible instability that rips through a person when you lose someone who changed you.
He didn't die. But it felt like everything he gave me did.
To me, death means no longer able. no longer able to exist the same.
Wasn't this just another form of death?
Or just the shell shock of change.
He changed me.
He pulled me out...

Twins
We share the same soul her and I.
I'm the one who tells the truth, she's the one who tells lies.
She was conceived from my hate, born into instability, and grew on my anger.
No wonder she hates me, strove on turning me into a stranger.
She is the crazy bursting through my flesh, she is the destroyer, she is the sin.
She opened the door to my heart and let herself in.
Turned it black, ripped it up, made me hate the world.
Want to say fuck it and burn it all, letting the flames unfurl.
All I can do I put my head in my hands and scream
"Oh god she's...

Wordless
I would write you all a poem.
I would twist the letters across the page until they sparked with life into freedom, breathing through the paper into existence.
But you know what?
They refuse to even take a tentative leap from the pen that I found (God knows where).
They don't even wanna try.
So I'll let the pen lie, let them sleep in my consciousness.
Shows over anyway. So why are you still here?

Way Out
08/22/2013 1:23 AM
My arms don't know how to hold you.
My legs can't run fast enough to you.
My lips can't kiss the right spot, and my love couldn't be enough.
I have no idea where you are tonight.
But I know where I want you to be.
But I'm coming to terms with the fact that you're not coming.
Babe, I didn't want to do this.
Still don't.
I keep waiting for the words I'll never hear to fall on my ears that you're here and it's alright and I can finally be at peace.
But I can't wait for a dream that's only based on useless hopes and...

Freedom?
Let me go.
Babe, let me find the place where the grass grows.
Let me find the place where the rules don't apply because we all know the game and we don't have anything to show.
Let me figure out what I don't know.
Let me go back to yesterday.
This time I'd remember what I'd do and what I'd say.
I'd never go back to these degrading ways.
I'd smile as fate would take me wherever it may.
I wouldn't ask questions.
And I wouldn't tell lies.
Though,
I still don't get the point.

Trials
If it were a perfect world, you'd be breathing on my skin.
Tiny kisses slide from throat to collarbone, jumping the nerves with static.
I'd whisper that I missed you. You'd reply that you knew.
I'd be wrapped safe in your strong arms and for once I'd know what it was like not to be so cold, shivering in my heart of stone.
Soft hair, gentle lips, words priceless in my ears.
Peace inside a fortress of sheets.
But you're not here.
You're not even a phone call away.
I don't think you're coming back.
But I'll stay here.
So honey if you need me, you know...
