My heart is teeming with soft, fluttering wings.
Tickling lungs with earth breath taken.
Your gleaming smile lodged in my mind's eye.
I long to bestow upon your delicious soul the incandescent radiation of my beating heart,
In hopes to wash away the tainted ooze clinging to and hazing such a precious spirit.

With the tempestuous wind at our heels we take step
Arching our spines backwards
The rush
Lifts us from the benevolent earth...
Your gleaming face in that moment
Stretches my soul till it breaks free
Breeding clouded feathers bent on temping those eccentric currents
To carry you and I into the oblivion

I feel you
I taste you
I dream of you

When the light tears through my grey curtains...
Grazes my skin,
Blinding my eyes,
I am reminded of you.

The warming sensation is so gentle and welcome,
Yet the glazed over look in my eyes shows otherwise.

I used to dream of you waiting for me to wake up,
holding out your palm face up...

I was never able to reach up and grasp that so desired palm…
