Upon Awakening
Once I awaken I'm overtaken by a sense of bliss. A kiss of mercy that has me believe nothing else exists. A sensation of oblivion, a false salvation, that immerses me and curses me to this deceitful illusion. Yet recollection like an infection devours this feeling that was concealing the pain of consciousness. Forcing me to face the memories I wish to erase from my mind that have confined me and remind me I'm still dreaming. But I am now awake, and intake the realism of my life.

Betrayal
Life has made me bitter and sour.
Darkening my soul by the hour.
Deepening a permeant glower.
My spirit devoured...
A change in perception,
through betrayal and deception
Believed I was the exception.
My naive misconception...
Heart cold as ice.
I paid the price,
being your replaceable sacrifice.
Victim of your wicked vice.
You are the cause of this sudden breach.
Realize that now I'm forever out of reach.

The Crack That Broke Their Back
No amount of words will express the regret I feel
For the wounds I've caused you that may never heal
For the gentle innocence I steal
That you now keep inside; concealed
Still with me hand in hand but never near
Lost in the past you've disappeared
And after all is said and done I fear
I've lost you for good my dear
Too many cracks beneath our feet
Waiting to give way; so bittersweet
I fight for the mess I've made; won't except defeat
But in the end we'll never be complete
No matter how hard I try it'll never be the same
Sweet...

Self Epidemic
My feelings are a virus.
Hazardous.
Kept inside growing; Infecting my mind.
Can't be treated only confined.
Until its consumed me whole.
Contaminating, Polluting the soul.
A sickness to diagnose.
A contagion spreading to those close.
Early prevention: form a barrier.
Until I'm what's left. The carrier.
Left in quarantine.
No hope for vaccine.
Hazardous.

Backstabber
The knife sways in your unfeeling grip.
Swinging limply. Drip. Drip. Drip.
A crimson pool begins to spread.
For your deception I have bled.
But above all, my heart drains the most.
Where the blade cut deep, and where it cut close
