Symptoms of Syndrome
Senses seem to send away the purpose of the feeling
Burned so many times by rhymes it seems the words are peeling
Screaming in my brain so loud, I may just crack the ceiling
Evermore, we swim for shore and hide from thoughts and feelings
Reveling in peddling, a Flintstoones car away from home
Every brick I've used to build my happy house, the neighbors build with chrome
Even if I earned another income, worked another shift
I'd still feel empty, earthless, without purpose, all for nought without my gift
Singing in my cerebellum siren songs for verbal...

Every inevitable misfortune we bestow upon the future is looked upon as collateral
Calculating every potential profit margin, we throw our brothers to the side; lateral
Perpetual pushers peddling putrid pills and powders, perilously persuading pupils pervasively
Engorging, engaging, enflaming, enraging, every elder edict erased entirely, exterminating evidence evasively
Stripping every syllable of dignity, speaking vulgar patois, every word spilling from our lips at Mach-3 velocity

Methadone Tears Over Spilled Milk
Worshipping subservient fiends as a means to find an idol
Every body shooting up the repulsive poultice just to leave their families idle
As the incessant battle begins to rattle silicone bones and vinyl vitals
Beating bass beats through filthy streets like tapped feet at recitals
While the crash cymbal plays as my metronome
Reading past ash symbols in a cryptic tome
Leading last rites, deflecting every limbic stone
As the war drum bleeds in a rhythmic tone
How'd we find ourselves in such a poor predicament we wonder? ...

Explain the rage to me
The rules were penned, “Return to Sender”
Melecholily
Melonballing, Gel and coffee
Scooping up the greed
Kisses eclipse after Christmas
Choking back your gut reaction is just too tough a deed
Frisking grills for dollar bills
Your petty cash is mass

Barely kept from smoldering when I’m under the capsule’s oppression
A servant made less observant due to clinical depression
Fiending for a pharmacy to fill my fix; a violent mental fluoride
A vile daily dose of duloxetine hydrochloride
The instability became inability when I traded the pen for the toxin
I can’t stand the constant thumping in my cortex, read the core text on the Rx
Without the 60 mg, I’m strung out like guitar necks, spewing farfetched heartwretch
I feel a fool for imbibing this venom, A common junky on this legal cocktail

Sins open passages and jam the doors with indiscretion
A working girl on a double shift is an amateur profession
Seeking a collection of acronyms that spell love in every language
Feeling each hum reverberate off our memories until they swell into the melody of our lives
Bless me father if there be a faith to follow
Give me strength to fight the raging stage fright brought on by obligation
Clawing at the walls at the bottom of the bottle,
Digging deeper with every echoed cry of defeat
Feeling fatigue like a tow rope on...

The Elder's Rolling Cadence
Tongue tying titans trickled truths to trip the frenulum
Some have come and gone though I was glad to be a friend to them
A legendary level of skill, every noun was notable, every verse was a quotable,
We'd trek to the Tributary tributary and drink the strength in their words like potent potables
"Granddaddy, can you tell me a bedtime story?"
"About the trolls and their vain pursuit for glory?
How you vanquished them all with a flick of your hand,
created harmony among the masses then left us your land!
Running along in the slo motion...
