POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
"One who produces even a single good poem has not spent his life in vain" ~ Basho
Your Kisses
YOUR KISSES ...
The taste of your lips quenches my thirst like no nectar I've ever known
I would almost think it a fantasy
If not for the fact that I've grown addicted to the turn of your lips when you smile
And the feel of them when they caress mine
Hershey's kisses come wrapped like silver bells ringing in some celebration
Your kisses come not first from your lips but from your soft brown seductive eyes
And as ever tempting as those little silver bells, I cannot be satisfied by one
I have to eat them all

Seasons With You
SEASONS WITH YOU
I came with few expectations
Only wanting the simplest of pleasures
A stolen moment at best
That's what summer evenings bring
Warmth that envelopes you
Pierced by a breeze that quivers yet delights
To validate life and your sense of it in one quick passing
Didn't figure you'd invade my soul
Seeds planted in a setting sun took root and grew
The season changed
Leaves browned and withered
Yet your beauty remained constant
Still a sun kissed blossom
Reminding me of glorious days
And lusciously warm moonlit...

When She Returns (Her coming for me)
The Greek myth says
Ceres awaits the return of her beloved daughter Proserpina
So she can color the world in lilac and iris
The gold of black eyed Susans and the harvest to come
My power to change the world by no means bares comparison
But my desire and need of you runs just as deep
You complete me in ways I didn't know possible
Blossoms do unfurl when I'm in your presence
Fields of ecstasy explode like untamed lilies
Outstretched towards the sun then slowly sinking towards the fertile soil that first gave them birth
And just as it seems it all will...
