One And One
If only you knew
when I'm "thinking of her"
that I really mean you.
Then you wouldn't be so thirsty,
and I wouldn't be as lonely,
and one and one might even be two.

The Prince
You talk about wanting a “prince” and a “gentleman”.
So I listen acutely.
I hear you talk of someone who can never turn their back.
I look, and mine is up against the wall.
I’ve never seen my own shadow.
And I’m cursed forever looking forward.
Then of someone who likes the simple things
And won’t get distant when she gets scared.
Well I’ve never been one to turn my back on danger..
And distance gives me vertigo.
You say that I’m a friend to you.
Someone that you can trust,
And then you find another man.
With eyes as full...

A Sucker For Happy Endings
My Hearts a romantic and I’m a sucker for happy endings.
There’s a bitterness I can’t wash away, and
I have a problem with everything around me.
My own bed feels claustrophobic
and the sheets they try and kill me.
Did I do someone wrong
in a past life that could have hurt me?
and what about my fingers, the stains, and my teeth?
Weak.
Fragile as bone, as the words, that I speak.
Filling the air, whispers without sound.
It won’t be long now before I’m hiding.
Deep underground.
Shelter from the nightmares. ...

Two Flowers Bloom
Two little flowers bloom
side by side.
One for the groom
and one for his bride.
Growing quite daintily,
fancy and free.
Never dreaming on what
it's like to be a tree.
Two little flowers plucked
side by side.
One for the widow
and one for the man that died.
One little flower slowly dying in a dish.
Fading away it's one final wish.
To flourish and grow,
and bring new life.
But this wish soon died,
and with it, his widowed wife.

The Space Between My Eyes
The space between my eyes fogs over sometimes.
with bitter shades of grey,
my thoughts fading away.
Sun spots glaze over and roll.
Make me feel more than old
as I grab at the wall,
I try and take hold
of the vision I seek.
with my knees growing weak.
I cling for the bed,
to rest my weary head.
The fog starts to swirl.
As it takes my very world
into a darkness I didn't expect.
Is this wisdom?
Or is this death?
I try and understand.
But my feet have lost the land.
Is this sorrow?
Is this loss?...

Observational
Back and forth
through my mind all day.
What I need to do,
and how I need to get paid.
In a dead end town,
With everyone competing for ground.
The steps I take,
roll back just as fast.
So I sleep all day,
and waste my time smoking grass.
Conceptualizing, about ideals that will never be set in motion.
It's a slow moving world, dragging you down to the ocean.
through my mind all day.

Introvert Love Story (WORKING TITLE) Chapter II "The Morning After"
Waking up was easier today. (thank god)
because my ears were definitely still ringing from last night.
I'm pretty sure Salv drove me home then went home himself pretty fast.
I remember him saying something of getting hit in the pit by someone who was trying to hit someone else but hit him instead. He didn't look too bad though. His lip looked mostly normal and aside from the side of his jaw being a bit purple he was right as rain.
We were sent our class schedules this past wednesday (last minute of course) and since our first day of university was about a day away we...

The Insane Old Man
The first time I ever hurt someone I remember very clearly.
I remember not knowing what happened and why there was suddenly blood rushing from his face.
The next time it happened I was a little bit older but still I didn't fully understand.
I was just young enough to be going into the first grade.
I didn't hit him or throw anything at him.
He scared me pretty bad, and I thought for sure he was going to hurt me.
I shut my eyes and winced bracing for the hit to come.
It didn't, so I opened my eyes and he was on the ground seizing and foaming at...

Death Take Me
Death come take me.
Take me away.
I’m just so sick.
Sick of the madness and pain.
Don’t say it gets better.
I know that it won’t.
I long for that feeling
To not feel my throat.
My vision is blurring.
I can’t feel my skin.
I can’t drown my demons
They know how to swim.
They pull on my ankles,
They’re dragging me down.
The weight of my burdens
It equals a frown.
Don’t say it gets better.
I know. And I tried.

Introvert Love Story (WORKING TITLE) Chapter I Eddie C. Jones
I never know quite what to say..
that's been my excuse for not talking to people my entire life. It's worked until now and unless an easier way presents itself,
I don't see a change in the near future.
Don't be thinking "poor him" or "he must have it so bad."
To be completely honest, I prefer it this way.
I don't always have someone talking my ear off, or overruling what I want to do each day.
But everyone has a friend or two to keep them sane. Even if they don't really exist to them.
My closest being "Salvatore" and "Kai". ...
