I miss the sound of haunting, rhythmic drums..
Fleeting and faint..
Echoing through the halls of the house..
I miss the warm glow of your face as I peer in through the crack in the basement door..
And watch you play..
The sheer tenderness in your expression as you manipulate each beat and each rhythm...
I miss your hushed singing..
Voice throaty and smooth...
A secret for just our ears...
I miss the way your lovely blonde hair hangs in your eyes as you lean over the drums..
Your eyes fiery, focused....
I miss the way...

You Left me Here, Looking in the Mirror
Sitting Alone...
Looking at old photos..
Bringing back old memories, I once shunned and forgotten...
A waterfall of tears drips from my eyes..
And my Heart beats with a beautiful consistency...
Similar to the pitter-patter of rain drops..
With the loud volume of a thunder storm..
Why do these feelings come out from the shadows..
When you've entered them..
Disappeared, to your new found career..
While I'm stuck here, Looking in the mirror...
To see nothing more, Than this ugly whore...
Reflecting back at Me..
Looking at old photos..
