love attrition
in the technicolor ejaculations of pseudo emotional love
lies a kaleidoscope of ornate orate sensory masturbations with
sweetened lips and warm whispers attesting the mirage oasis
trawled from the masses of ash hollow eyes, chosen for the
disposition to turn over control of bloodfeed to the soul
those with the will to whet the arid lips of a self chosen idol
wired to be loveweak the desperate meek
cannot differentiate from lustbait and
freely rush to praise the image of hope and be
corralled for sentimental autopilot obedience

I will not cry
like an unwilling fluorescent bulb my awareness flickers online
my sense of being cowers in the long shadows of this shattered union
saturated in loss fear of unending loneliness is blinding
immersed in my desire to reclaim the love I left on your skin
my memories grasp for a taste of the most vivid recollections
it's moments like this that I miss you the most
so long it's been since I've woken to your face, brushed your hair
from your eyes and with the softest kisses felt what you did to me
so long since my common thoughts shared main lines with...

the empty drawers
the never again used coffee mug
a toothbrush, five cd's in two covers
one dvd, an unwashed t-shirt
these rooms are saturated with stale emotions
that stifle hope and plead for..
disconnection
I keep trying to move on but demons sleep
lightly and I fret when I walk the halls
trying to understand how I didn't see that
the love you gave only resembled the truth
I was no more than a love of vague intention
and as the present dances lovingly deep
in the emerald eyes of love past...

the one that you are with wants you
only because you love them
in time you will see that what they feel
for you is not love but an overexcited
