Dear unknown
you broke my heart again
and hear i thought we were friends
that's all i ever am
I'm a freak
who has too much to feel
all i do is steal
and they aren't even real
I'm looking for comfort in a meal
of green veggies and raisin bread

what is this?
the ability to write
the ability to think
what am i searching for?
do i need to write
do i need to think
i'm asking for directions
i'm asking because i'm blind
because i can't see, hear, touch or feel
what could i do with my nose?
i smell wood burning up north
step by step, the distance shortens
i can hear a crackling noise
there i can feel i'm almost there
there i burn into despair

why is he there
carrying a book
pen in hand
wrist full of bands
with a far away look
messy as always
he tends to smile
some think he's a child
sitting beside grace
immature
childish
sophisticated
out of breath
childlike
stages
adult
tenderness
forward and backward
children are awkward
imagination is my reward
name is not your identity

"Deus Patria"
the brave warrior lady
leads the front lines of armies
known for being fair and ugly
they all know she's always fighting
fighting ever since
she lost her sight
as a child she used to sing
but now she only screams
the cries you hear
before opposing teams collide
the warrior lady's so brave
so valiant and resilient
she wore a blind fold
even in her grave
the brave warrior princess
kept fighting
she thought it lead the way
she thought it was the only way
