I am The Night
This smile I show is my scar tissue
I smile to let the light out to the good and fare
but it lets the festering blackness breathe inside me
giving fuel to dark chaos, so what's another nightmare?
The laughter I let out is my buried pain and misery
dug up and let loose from a long ago lost world
and the colors are slowly fading, the music is out of tune
the smile is my scar tissue, but I don't smile much anymore
The Blood Gods laugh at what has become of me
and to this, I can only tip my hat and nod my head
Their medicine is weak, but I have...

Empty
I saw her again, as I do everyday
this time, as I looked at the refelction of the sky
from the mirror on the side of my car
I saw her eyes, slowly drifting by
Last night, I saw her in the shadows
as the music I played formed around her
easch note from my guitar shaped her face and figure
until she was there, all aglow and blue shimmer
What can I do, when an important piece of me
was ripped out of me so long ago, it was so long ago
but I know she is still here in my heart and in my soul
Time will heal you they said, but she never let me go...

She makes me feel....
I find myself thinking about her, more than I should
She makes me feel like a school boy once again
and I catch her looking at me when she thinks I'm not looking
I like how that makes me feel, like how I've always should've been
From a white light, she comes to me in my dreams
She stands there smiling with evil intent
but I do nothing, I just love looking at her
and I slowly breathe in her excited scent
I am strongest in the shadows of the chaotic dream lands
but the light she brings, is a temptation that can undo me
I tell her to come into...

to live another day
I hear your cries in my dreams
and I see you sitting by a midnight stream
I walk off my path to see you, to comfort you
because no one loves you as much as I do
I wrap my blanket around you as I sit down
I brush your hair out of your eyes, you keep your head down
I pull you close and you rest your head next to my heart
you stop crying, and you smile at me as you drift back up to the stars
and I lay down and close my eyes, only to awaken in my bed

Deadweight
Her love infected me like a virus
She loved it when I would scream in pain
it was a slow, creeping infection that spread into my soul
I felt lost in her raging thunderstorm and cold cold rain
There was no feelings, no emotions after I got sick
I could only take comfort in the dark coolness of the basement
I hold onto the memories that used to be me
but those are slowly fading, slowly sinking - going dormant
Her love made me terminally ill, forever damaged
and I didn't even notice the changes until it was too late
Acid boils and bubbles in my...

Dying love
She twisted her head sideways, I could hear her neck snap
and she pushed with her last breath - I love you
I cried as I cuddled her and watched the life dim from her eyes
and I gently tucked her hair behind her ear as I whisperd back - I love you too

Nightmare Warrior
I'm a Nightmare Warrior clown freak
protecting those that I love from the Unseen
I got battle scars from the Dream Time Wastelands
just so those I love and care for can be free
I'm always on the lookout for those things that don't belong here
the long dark shadows that move from house to house
bringing their death speak whispers to their ears
I try my best to send them back to their hellhouse
I'm not insane, I'm not crazy, this is just me keeping it real
The nightmare deviants out to do their dirty work
and I won't ever let them win because...

Bloodlust Battle
walking in the pale blue light of the full moon
the barren, charred wastelands seem beautiful now
I have to be a fool to keep going, to keep this up
but I promised her, and I tend to keep my vows
I'm battling for my life, so I can save hers
pushing through to find my sweet soul singer
weaving in and out of darkness, blending into the shadows
Nothing is gonna stop this six-string gunslinger
A moment of rest, as I look at the bodies on the ground
I close my eyes and I can see her smiling at me
the music of her laughter is driving me forever...

Cold Love
I long for her cold, dead-like touch
Through the darkness she touches me again
Her coldness bursts through my soul
... and it seeps into my imagination
The wonders and secrets she knows is amazing
And she shows me constantly what she knows
The pain and pleasures are enticing but it is mostly pain
All the sweet pain that is locked in her tortured soul
The burns will leave scars but I don?t even care
The scars are tattoos to remind me of our time together
Her passion and heat of her kisses tell another story
It is the coldness of her mind...
Through the darkness she touches me again

Fallin' in love...
she was laying in the moonlight
like a pale, dead pixie corpse - lifeless
her broken halo on the ground
I stood watch over her, motionless
Wishing life was different
but knowing it's still the same shitty life
she stirred, after several hours of rest
"hey baby" she whispered, it cut through me like a dull knife
I waited for the words to fade away
and I reached down to help her up again
she took my hand and it felt like something dead
and I fell in love with her all over again...

I knew the moment we met that I could feel love again
but I knew that we were never meant to ever meet
when you smile you cut through my darkness like Aurora Borealis
I walk in the shadows of the wastelands, forever in misery
I fell in love with an old black and white photo of you
a picture captured in time from centuries ago
that look in your eyes, captured my soul, and kept me at peace
now you are here in front of me and I don't know what to do
Your laughter haunts me still as I run forever in place
