Sometimes we don't want to fight

Distress
ever see an unmarked grave
just newly fresh in the ground
and think
might as well kick some dirt around
Why not
It is done everyday without any regard
no care
we just pass by innocent hurt needing faces
and never extend a hand
nor throw a smile in their direction
to busy with self inflicted issues
and our own distress
Tis the way of the world
we are born to fail to fulfill others
and that's okay
isn't it ?

Lost my job a few months back
I'm broken up about it
haven't turned in my keys
cleaned out my desk
but I find my car driving me there to try
I do try
but the halls call me
it's like I can feel everyone still here

Beverly clawing at her skin
no one knew her real reasons for doing what she does
my guess is
she felt she didn't belong in that body
but I was no one to be guessing anyone's life

societies paint brush
has elegantly painted a portrait of women
a picaso
never earned
nor wanted
but in all our minds
this pacaso is right
why not
It did give women a religion
a color
a language
and some are even labeled beauties
the stamp of their lips sealed the approval
These characteristic
no one can define with words
the statues picture of the world
"we believe in it"
we see it
why not ?
But it's just so funny how no one can ever hear from it !!!

The women of today
don't know their worth
they walk around half naked
attracting the suits and ties
with their crimson red lips
tainted with lies
their pocketbooks light
it's feenin for it's fix
someone buy these bitches another mix
it's sad to me
when a lady must stoop so low
the daddy syndrome kicking their ass
them thinking nobody knows
it's written across their ancient face
so many years have passed
give daddy a break

Honda civic ( car challenge )
My first car was a fire red hatch back
two doors
I loved that car
first thing I bought when I turned 16
used drug money for it
but whatever worked at the time
worked
some old lady owned it before me
can tell she smoked a lot
the cigarette holes where everywhere
even the roof had a mark
that baby had many miles on it
kinda like me
it smelt of my freedom
kinda like I dreamed it would feel
I never registered that car.

these glasses won't let me see straight

and there is no cutting it

It matters to me
I've spoke about my brother
and how much he means to me
but no one truly knows how much
it was me and him in those dark days
two kids trying to hang on
trying to make it out of home
we had each other
our sister was too grown for us
living her lie
forgetting we where there staying strong for ma
She didn't care
no one cared but us
that's it though
we have always been an us
the only person consistent in each other's lives
