The Love
Over two years had passed since we were parted,
but all it took was a second for me to look at you and I was right back to where I started.
I tried to move on but it was something that I could not do,
to give my heart to another man when it has always belonged to you.
There must be a reason why I cannot forget you,
why I can't move on, hate or regret you.
And there must be a reason when I look into your eyes,
I feel a love that once kindled never dies.

Silk Noir
I am shrouded in silk noir,
On my way to my favourite bar.
Black false lashes, silver stiletto heels,
Strobe light flashes, I love the way it feels.
Cosmopolitan diamonds and Vogue pearls,
Full length Gaultier ball gowns worn by both boys and girls.
So let's have one more Champaign cocktail and get a limo home,
Goodbye and Goodnight, "I want to be let alone."
On my way to my favourite bar.

Dirty Secret
When I was only thirteen I gave birth to a son,
the only thing is I have never told anyone.
This is my dirty secret and it's mine to keep,
for the wounds it has caused run far too deep.
Not to talk is not to know and not to know is to never exist,
but a whole lifetime without my son was never what I had wished.
I just hope that he lived.
He might not have made it to one day old.
I mean, how could a baby possibly survive in the bitter rain and cold?
I deny nothing yet I regret it all,
I can still see him in my head; crying, wrapped in a muslin shawl....

Good Morning Charlie
Morning has broken with white on the mirror,
My eyes glaze over as my soul starts to shiver.
Soon my body will ache, my make-up shall flake,
Jesus I don't know how much more of this shit I can take!
The dark, storm cloud hangs over my head,
I cry for no reason, lying broken in my bed.
My mind is alive yet my body is dead.
So I do what I need to do and I cut a line,
Then the storm cloud disappears and I suddenly feel fine.

Spat out gems of spite like a whore with rage.
The embodiment of filth and Ill repute,
She had once been pictured by Vogue with the foil in her hand taking a toot,
She could smoke a cigarette and make it look healthy,
Whilst she fucked for a dime; the rich and the wealthy.
No, I shall never forget the woman who said,
"Don't pity me, I'm already dead."
