POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
When I put the pen to paper or the hands to keys - I feel as if I'm in a fever until all the thoughts make it out - only then I can breathe.
Stay
Is there anything left to say, anything to make you stay
Cause I’m standing here and I’ll stand with you
But you’re walking out, away into the night
I’ll tell you what you think I should say, what you think I feel
I’ll tell you what is on my mind but would it change the way
The way you walk away
Instead of stay
I could tell you things, I could tell you anything
Just ask me and I’ll tell you what you already know
And more, I’ll tell you so much more
But winter’s coming and summer’s dead and gone
So can I find a way to make you ask, to make you...

Escape
Take my soul, leave my heart
Carry it with you into the dark of your dreams
Keep a tight hold
Don’t let go
I’ll see you there when I close my eyes
I’ll feel you there
Listen to the night
Take its hand with me
Believe in the fairytale of intoxicating sleep
Know that if you give just one moment
And listen just once to the night
Everything would change
Take my soul, leave my heart
Carry it with you into the dark of your dreams
Keep a tight hold
Don’t let go
I’ll see you there when I close my eyes
I’ll feel you there...
Carry it with you into the dark of your dreams
Keep a tight hold
Don’t let go
I’ll see you there when I close my eyes
I’ll feel you there
Listen to the night
Take its hand with me
Believe in the fairytale of intoxicating sleep

Your Fog
Im sitting surrounded by a fog, heavy and dense it sits on my hands
And behind my lashes, willing my eyes to close
And remember
Through the fog I hear the warning bell, ringing out distant in the night
My ears can’t forget the words, the whispers
I remember
Maybe you meant to touch me truly but instead you touched me deeply
In the silence I see the shadows of your hands, covering
Remember the trembling
Im sitting, not believeing that I let you in at all,
when the fog is lifted will I see you there
Or will you only exist in the dense...

wanderer, passing through
I pass that aging fence
And I pass this painted window
And then when I stop at the corner
I wonder why the door is open there
Shadows move from space to place
Leaving only mysteries in their wake
And I, the wanderer passing through
Can only keep going, never knowing what you do
I collect small stones, an acorn, a snail
Through the field, across the river
And then when I pause to wash my face
I wonder where the water is going down below
Shadows move from space to place

Red
Red, the keys are red and the scales play up and down so fast
So fast
They hold my frame, my life and pull me through so fast
So fast
I must replay, play it again, up and down crying I thought I knew
I thought I knew
But red is all I see, it’s all I see pulling me through to you
To you
Red, the drums are red and the thumps harder and harder so fast
So fast
They reach my chest; beat through my soul so fast
So fast
Imust close my eyes and feel, what is that, I think I know
I think I know
But red is all I hear, it’s all I hear pulling...

Where Drums Beat
My heart was helpless, my hands were idle
I looked for you, everywhere for you
Did you forget me, did you forget I was there
There among the rocks and the gravel, sitting
Crying How long does it take to go back
Back to the place you went so long ago
And when you go, when you go, will you know
Will you know
I was there too?
You said everywhere you looked were reminders
Clouds and rain, books and windowpanes
Did you forget they remind me too, did you forget
There I was waiting for you to take my hand
My heart
How long does it...
I looked for you, everywhere for you
Did you forget me, did you forget I was there
There among the rocks and the gravel, sitting
Crying How long does it take to go back
Back to the place you went so long ago
And when you go, when you go, will you know
Will you know
I was there too?
You said everywhere you looked were reminders
Clouds and rain, books and windowpanes
Did you forget they remind me too, did you forget
There I was waiting for you to take my hand
My heart
How long does it...
