Who am I? I am me. I don't have a particular style or theme. Poetry is my therapy so a lot of my poems will probably be dark but writing them and posting them for the world to see helps.

The Endless Night
I was so close.
My goal was in sight.
That was until someone,
Well, they turned off the light.
Building up,
For two full years,
Another goal
Ending in tears.
I try to move on,
But try as I might,
I can’t find the drive
To get up and fight.
I cant admit it
To the people I failed,
Nor to myself,
That my life has derailed.
I failed again,
Just as before.
I just need something good.
I cant take any more.
I’ll try to pick up.
I’ll try to move on.
But right now its dark,

Goodbye Love
I love you.”
“I love you too.”
Never has a lie
Seemed so true
Said so many times
In so many ways
But words cannot help
As the relationship frays
I’ve tried to save this
I don’t want it to end
But my spirit will break
If I continue to bend
I don’t want to hurt you
I don’t want you to cry
But I need you to know
That I really did try
Hopefully someday
We’ll regain what we lost
I hope our friendship

I saw you today.
It was the first time in months.
I wanted a hug, a simple hug.
I didn’t want the sarcastic comment that came with it.
I didn’t want to be ignored most of the night.
I’m sorry you used to be my rock.
I’m sorry I used to rely on you to keep me grounded when my world flipped upside down.
I’m sorry that I pushed you away.
I used to be able to talk to you.
You used to always listen
Now I feel like you just want me to go away.
I used to adore you.
Now I abhor you.
I look back at that time and realize the truth.

My mind is blank
My heart is broken
I have something to say
But it cannot be spoken
This darkness is too black
This pain I must feel
The sun is too bright
Painless is not real
If I had a choice
To escape this state

A Day At School
Broken blind
Strip of light
Shining in a darkened cell
Where people sit
With paper and pencil
While the guard tells you what to write
Staring at the clock
You wait for the bell to ring
For when that bell rings
The door springs open
And you are free
For a few minutes
To walk the halls of the prison
Until a guard shoves you
Into another darkened cell
If you refuse
You are sent to the warden
And he extends your sentence
But if you behave
At the end of the day you are free
To go home for the night
But when morning...

Crazy?
Am I crazy for this
Or because of it
I used to be so sure
Of what my future held
The picture in my mind
Was always so precise
Myself in a classroom
Whether seated or in front
Now that picture once clear as crystal
Is cloudy with the fog of change
My days in classrooms
Are coming to a close
My civilian life is ending
For my future as an Airman
My hear is overflowing
With pride and with fear
As I plan to do the one thing
I said I never would
I know this path is hard
But right now it feels right...

Downward Spiral
I look around at
My shadow of life.
What used to be wholesome,
Now filled with strife.
What used to be safe,
A haven, my home,
Has now become hell.
I am alone.
I’m dealing with things
As best as I can,
But some days I wish
I just got up and ran.
The thoughts fill my head,
As the colors, they blend,
Seen through wet eyes
As I plan my true end.
When my mind becomes numb,
When I’m on auto-drive,
A simple sharp knife
Can prove I’m alive.
My shadow of life.
