Autumn Morn
the sky is blue today
this crisp autumn morn
branches stiff and barely clad
undressed by winds blown
scattered clothes rustle and snap,
under aimless paws, hurried heels and soles,
shy rays of the sun barely peek
through layers of fluffy covers' holes
flowers and grass glimmer with crystals
last night's perspiration dews forth
a few furry friends scuttle around
last minute preps for supplies to hoard
kids giggle and smile while other's yawn
can't wait for their bus, can't wait to...

Manifesto: Gandhi Spirit
first they ignore you,
so you raise your voice!
unyielding words, like scalpels
incise through the cozy veil of
ill gained shields of oblivion
raise your hand with unsplintered pestles
and grind your will in liberty mortars
mix it well and make them swallow
a bitter medicine that cures their blind.
then they ridicule you,
you smile,
the ripple has bored
through waxen ears
sweet tunes of freedom
now dance...

Mea Pectora
please take your shoes off
leave them by the door
if you wish to be granted entry
into this sacred alcove
breaching the gates of this sanctuary
possible only, if you`ve mastered the codes
most slipped through in error
with the aid of a lax bow
or an askew arrow shot foolishly
at dusk by a myopic Eros
watch your step as you enter,
please leave your shoes by the door
more hollow than a cave yet finer
ancient as the tower with in it resides
red...

Power from the People
good intentions
lost direction
strangers' faces
around her
chanting
reciting
mantras of
whose voice is the loudest
united
naivety
got her here
the ignorant, exploited
by 'opponents'
of the Movement
greed, confronted
only ten percent
of the ninety-nine
seem conscious
of games...

Polaroid Love
a picturesque setting
from a polaroid
you sit next to me
on the sofa, engrossed
in a soccer match
you swear at the guy lying on the ground
i watch the bright lights reflect off your skin
sounds muffled
by the whirlpool of my thoughts
i'm at the pinnacle
of my life
your finite affections
your flawed persona
your messy dispositions
this amorous life,
as incessant as a polaroid
you squeeze my leg
Ay love....... ...

Night Splendor
no moon tonight
the barks subdued
drunken footsteps
long retired
no winds to sing
through dry sticks
this night
affiant crickets
choked up
stifled
sleep draped
souls next door
don't stir nor rouse
on a return trip
from dreamland
as he cracks
her skull
her body
their child
just another
number
another loss........forgotten

drunken footsteps

My Beloved {from Revenge ( Lotus Corniculatus ) challenge}
Your soul fills the pores in mine
a dichromatic hue of the same shade
we're not whole, but
we pour energy into and off each other
eternity is useless to us mortals
you lay in the backyard,
for eternity
what's left of your flowers lay around
i sit on the kitchen floor,
parched
another pore is added to the toll
i hate flowers
and my birthday was last week
a dichromatic hue of the same shade
we're not whole, but
we pour energy into and off each other
eternity is useless to us mortals
you lay in the backyard,
for eternity
what's left of your flowers lay around
i sit on the kitchen floor,
parched

Eviction Notice
Another storm warning is on the news
how many this week, three? plus maybe another two
all with the the same message, same ol' chant
the RENT is DUE, the RENT is DUE
a tsunami has hit my neighbors' place
their stuff tossed out, their kids, the lucky ones now homeless
the bill is long, our debts are deep
a flash flood warning
debt collectors have started to ring,
my time is near
i travel far, skip oceans and continents
escape the harassment, lay low in some foreign land
but my land lady owns it, she's just so fuckin everywhere...

No it's not Blood
Dark liquid will be spilt here tonight
and I don't mean the kind that gushes through rocks
once more potent, now way less productive, not worth the ride
my hands twitch over, and over, they fight against my will
this facade of a perfect life shows cracks, finally crumbling
the quake of my wrath is no longer in slumbers
the only antidote to your sinister faults
Dark liquid will be spilt here at this hour
and not the type that oozes out of wet gangrenous flesh
my putrid heart is colonized by what we've named love
i'm forced to keep this dead bulk ,...

African Drumbeats
font=Georgia][font=Tahoma,Geneva][font=Lucida Sans Unicode,Lucida Grande]your palms slam the wall
with the words that you speak
your amorous gaze
the stunts that you pull
accents your allure
the slams breach my walls and creep in
you hammer my heart's molten ore
till it turns fluid from your endless passions
a chaotic harmony ensues
your signals turned to beats, beats of my own
my skin tingles,
blood dances to the African drumbeats that have taken over
distance stretches and distorts the rhythm, the pace
you lull it into a slow tranquil...

Next Time I'll be Dead
i opened my eyes
to a rhythm i faintly remember
the room was dark but for a distant glimmer
what is that sound, bashing at my ear
someone shut it off! another beep i can't bear
how long did i doze off anyway
and why do i feel funny, changed
like i'm on hell's entryway
someone's in here with me
i feel the footsteps, the gaze on me
i know what thy're after
they will never get it, coz i'm saving it for later
that was some good shit
the bills he asked for were sure worth every cent
that dude must have been way up high
high up liberty...

Death births Life (inspired by a poem i just read)
i look back and see
your hunched silhouette
barely visible
through this lucent screen
it gently pulls us away,
two statuettes
under this moon's mesmerizing gleam
i smile, and feel its ripple touch you
while life draws you back
into its routine
you have finished ahead this time
in a race
where he who wins is lost
your prize bequeathed to you,
six feet under ...
