Why am I alone

I don't wait for the day
when it's all going down
to enduldge in the dream's
that are seldomly found
For now
I make haste
& taste what I can
For the problems I've faced
have placed me in sand
Showing my steps
amonst the frail & the lonely
Leaving a trail
that seems so unholy
Turning circles to reach you
more often than not
Repeating routines
just to tangle this knot
Trying to tie me down
& keep me tame
Persueding the clouds
to resume with the rain
Oh, get me through...
when it's all going down

Won't be able
to enjoy a steak
without my own teeth
Can't backpack
through Europe
with an oxygen tank
Imagine me at 63
running around
a nude beach
Can't dance all-night
with arthritc knees
So what if the Club
never closes it's doors
When I'm in bed
by 7pm
Can't drink off a hang~over
when I'm hurting fot day's
What good is a "threesome"
when we sleep thru the climax
Too late for convertable's,
TATOOS & booty~calls
when it's too cold...

to make me your equal
All shook up & nervous
Rehearsing my word's
Searching for purpose
in between our 2 World's
All confused & dismayed
I can't think
through the noise
been silent so long;
I don't know my voice?
All alone in this 'maze'
just hoping to see you
So lost
& affraid
I might never reach you
All but finished
I'll keep crawling till I fall
Until it's all over
I'll get over this...
I can' wait to see you

so much bullshit
Yet, I'm incredibly blessed
Making me
hard to understand
& even harder to impress
I often cry
over the simple pleasures
Sheading tears
over my greatest treasures
Falling to pieces
after I conquer the Monsters
Resting so peaceful
I often feel awkward

that were 3 minuets long
then 6 days later
My memories were gone
Just some spotless thoughts
of how the future might be
If I walked away
from the former me
So, I hit rewind & ran away
to try & find
my yesterdays
That was then & this is now
Still I live
in a thoughtless cloud
I can't remember the past
& every time that I try
My brain takes a break
until...
