jets sing low
as if flying from my soul
the black of nights
fight winds of north
gods do cry
as fleeting moments morph
hollow shells lay on naked beach
shadows disperse to leave bare trees
roots untangled
clearer seas
heavy heart
weightless soul
he who forgets
is destined to remember
still a question....

for you my friend, a simple glimpse at the world you mean to me...

inspiration that once eluded
thoughts you overtook
in total awe you left me
my thought of train AWOL
another trip for me
into the dark corners of my soul
your beauty overwhelming
a soul unlike I've ever known
wrapped in imperfections
core of solid gold
in this masquerade called life...

don't shed a tear
