Mesmerized
You have me mesmerized
first time writing poetry that doesn't rhyme
at least not all the time
Those things used to matter before
now they don't anymore
Im just observing you
watching what you do
I have to
its the only way ill have a clue
and you know why
because youre awfully shy
so I keep it a secret
that youre my guy
We're just special kinda friends
who's playtime never ends
and you teach me things too
like how to stop rhyming all the time
how poetry is just my own rhythmic flow
and I can go slow
if I want to ...

STRIPPER
Bass is pumping
Body sweating
Focused on the ends
Im getting
Climbing up
Then sliding down
Hips slowly gyrate
Round and round
Acrobatics
My body’s craved
Legs are silky
Monkey shaved
Creates a visual
Fantasy
Adult entertainment
Starring me
Baring my everything
Body and soul
Night after night
Taking its toll
Just rub on more
Glitter lotion
Can’t afford

Cause they’ve been shattered
Again and again
Never left me
With money to spend

NEVER SHOULD HAVE YELLED
You can change the way you feel
From when you were out of your head
But what you can’t ever take back
Are the words that you said
You will never be able to retract
The pain and rage that is caused
Even later when it dawns on you
That you maybe should have paused
Because the after effects they ripple through time
A young child grows up torn out of his mind
More boisterous and angry than ever even you
Now you’re trying to figure out exactly what to do
A family meeting, a counselor, a therapist or priest?
All you seek now is to...
From when you were out of your head
But what you can’t ever take back
Are the words that you said

BENT OUT OF SHAPE
I know if I tell him
Exactly how I feel
He’s gonna get bent out of shape
For real
That’s why each morning
I just say “Hello honey!”
I pass him his lunch
He rations the money
I drive him to work
Exactly 6:30
Rush home to my chores
Make sure nothing’s dirty
The kids off to school
Dinners in the oven
Then rush to my sanctum
For my fill of true lovin
Dripping with passion
Pure electricity
Each time I “cum” there
I leave her a piece of me
I wish I could live there
From life just escape...

BEDTIME STORIES WITH MY SISTER
When I was a child I was bright and wise
Because I saw life through my sisters’ eyes
My hero indeed… she was three years older
When I walked with her my strut was bolder
She gave me a purpose…engaged my mind
By telling me stories all the time
She vividly created us a world of friends
Whom I wanted to visit again and again
But I would always “just miss them”
So she would tell me about it
Right where she left off
And I never would doubt it
I believed with all my heart the tales she told

THE WALKING DEAD
You live on a mountain
With sky high dreams
While I’m down in the pits
Of hell it seems
I’m beyond even trying
To get it together
I sleep on the ground
No matter the weather
My body temperature
Regulated by drugs
My neighbors are junkies
Rapists and thugs
Street life is a jungle
On evil we thrive
Every day that goes by
Just barely alive
I see you walk by me
And stare straight ahead
For fear of becoming
The walking dead

Its on and popping
I’m feeling right
Gonna go out to the
Club tonight
Got my nails done
Tightened my weave
Bought a sexy new dress
With just one sleeve
Costume jewelry
Never clashes
Perfect knockoff
Gucci glasses
Designer perfume
Smells so fresh
Wonder bra
To lift my breasts
Girdle strapped
So my waist looks bitty
Uncomfortable heels
But so darn pretty
All the sexiness
I can muster
Step in the club
It’s full of busters!!!

Smile in my face
While you cream for my man
Playing any position you can
Acting as if you really don’t know
That you are just a sideline ho’
You love me and hate me

Then go to your mirror

You say “Mirror Mirror”
“I want what she has”

SINGLE MOTHER
Yes I am a single mother
But to me that is a blessing
Had a dad but now he’s gone
But Mommy is not stressing
Relationship issues
I don’t have to face them
And now that he’s gone
No need to replace him
That is the choice
I made from the start
Don’t need Daddy Warbucks
Breaking our hearts
Can’t risk Chester Chester
Coming in smooth
Gaining our trust
Then making his move
No extra opinions
No senseless drama
No late night hang-ups
From baby’s mamas
No psycho punks
Who like to fight...
But to me that is a blessing
Had a dad but now he’s gone
But Mommy is not stressing

And now that he’s gone

I wish the world were colorblind
Then we wouldn’t have wars
Over crude remarks
And if the world were colorblind
We wouldn’t be afraid
To walk past Crips after dark
If the world were colorblind
The qualified man
Would get the job
And if the world were colorblind
She wouldn’t have the nerve
To be such a snob
If the world were colorblind
Then we might all have
Unified views
And if the world were colorblind
Then we might realize
It is God who rules!

When you meet the one
Who owns your heart
No distance matters
Or times apart
A spiritual bond
That binds the flesh
It can’t be weighed
Or put to the test
It is born
Of no expectations
It is immune
To life’s situations
It exists outside
The realms of time
It can’t be controlled
By will of the mind
It has magic
You can undeniably feel
And without any questions
You know that it’s real
So whether you’re finishing
Or just begun
Don’t give up until
You have found THE ONE!
