Shattered Family
I
Can’t
Believe
You
You’re always telling me, treats people equally .
But yet, here you are, yelling at me about the smallest things.
About how wrong I’m living my life.
How much pain my life actually brings.
Just today, actually. You pulled me aside. Sat me down. And began to yell.
Your words, words I’ve heard countless times before, began to bounce off the wall.
You voice, booming louder than it once was before, now shouting vulgar things at your own family member
Does is even matter how I feel at all?
No, of course not,...

D -Don’t worry about it
E – Eventually comes out of hiding
P - Please don’t pressure me
R - Resist the urge to cry
E - Explosions of emotions.
S - Smiling on the outside
S - Shattered on the inside
I - Invisible to most
O - Occasional outbreaks
N – Never Relaxed

Causing never ending pain
Sometimes even joy
But always causing problems
And making life difficult

The voice
You tell me everything that’s wrong with me
A list of things that only you see
Keeping me from who I want to be
I’m locked away and you have the key
The sound of you makes me quiver
Your laugh makes me shiver
I hide away, hoping you’ll disappear
Instead of striking me with fear.
I lost friends because of you
Not only them, but family too
My silent nights are no more
Your voice haunts me through every door
It’s time to end this, once and for all
To stop you from making me fall
To do this, I’ll take a simple knife
And...
