My Golden Hand
The hand made of gold has never been a joke,
but, rather, a true tale to be told.
It is that which decides what happens for me,
and it is that that puts me into a garden filled with beauty.
I breathe in and I breathe out.
I listen to the sounds of the birds
who surround me so peacefully.
Nearby, a twig breaks, and I spin
ungracefully to view a young man.
He seems tranquil, just like the birds
who flitter by in rhythmic beats.
He strides closer: beauty personified.
It takes my breath away, so I try
in vain to gain it back. Once he is close,...

Darkened Beauty
As it stands there looking at me,
I can’t help but think how beautiful,
how radiant he is.
But there is more to it than that.
Its darkened beauty lures you in
and its eyes capture your soul;
Your soul will be his to take.
He strides closer, and the dagger
upon his forehead shines clearer.
Slowly, taking his time, because he knows
I will not be able to escape.
The eyes… they are now malicious.
The teeth now grind in anticipation.

Dolls
They looked at me and asked me how I felt.
And that was the point:
I didn't feel,
I didn't breathe,
I didn't feint.
I just sat there like a doll;
empty inside, but craving something.
Something even I didn't understand.
But if I ever got it,
I couldn't say;
because I was hollow inside,
Just like the cold, empty dolls
On my dark nightstand.

Worlds...
My world travels in a darkened orb.
It screams to be let free,
but I will not let that happen
My sapphire eyes stare heatedly;
I will not lose my desire.
The skyline shall exist peacefully.
The rain shall pound out the sorrow in my head.
The autumn winds will forever hold my soul
Out in the beautiful cold.
And the sunset will say goodbye to me from afar.
No, I will not lose my world;
For if all is lost... what can I become?

Good Enough
I'm not good enough.
At least that's what they think,
though they try to deny it.
I know it's true, at least
it feels true enough.
I wasn't able to fill their expectations,
I still can't, and I feel ashamed.
I am ashamed that I am unable
to express the right emotion,
or follow the right conversation,
or even play along if I can't be normal.
It feels so... saddening,
the way they all look at me like that.
It's so... lonely... being the odd one out.
Perhaps... too lonely...
At least that's what they think,
though they try to deny it.
I know it's true, at least

Is there such a thing as loneliness?
Can I say that there is?
Or will all this duress
simply be blamed on my teenage years?
If so, then fuck you.
I didn't need your damn opinion
when I had dreams that were true.
So what if they didn't work out?
Frankly, I don't give a damn
if you think I'm worthless for what I did
at home, or at school, or even at camp.
I won't change it all now just for you.
So while I may be lonely and tired and sad,
at least I don't sit in a stuffy room
making all these online people feel bad.

Annoying
All you do is scream
all day long.
I'm so fucking sick of it;
it makes my eardrums ring.
I want to strangle you,
put you in the damn ground,
anything to stop that putrid voice.
It's a continuous sound
that never, ever stops.
And it pisses me off.
Sometimes, I wish I could kill you,
but I won't go to jail for you.
No, not yet.
But egg me on some more,
let's see where that gets your ass.

Shadowy Song
A night so fitful,
she falls asleep
in the deadly trees.
A smile curves her full grown lips
as a song unconsciously spins out.
A song so melodious,
but disturbing and dark,
that Death feels pain
in his blackened heart.
Into the night,
he searches for her
until he finds her singing,
singing as a corpse.
Away he takes her disturbed spirit,
and away she goes
into a deadly place
called Hell...

Feelings
Why does it hurt?
When did it get like this?
I can't look in your eyes,
I can't speak my own truth.
It hurts to be distant.
It hurts to leave no impact.
I will be forgotten,
And then I will no longer exist.
I tremble at this thought.
But who will notice me?
I cannot show it,
But I cannot erase it.
They are always there,
But you will never see it.
And when I disappear
I will never have existed...
When did it get like this?

A Dream of Mine...
I had a dream of bursting colors.
And they all went off
With a Shatter! next to me.
Their explosions sent rivulets
Down my neck and across my arms;
But I didn't mind.
Their color filled me
With pain and desire,
They colored me in
And made me feel whole.
I was so at peace,
I forgot the real world,
And I let myself become
The rainbow of unknown colors...

When I hear the screams
I can't help it
I just want to leave
When I see the marks
I'm disgusted by it
But I want to turn away
When they come crying
I don't want to hurt
So I push them aside
When it becomes my turn
I hear the accusations
And I hear about everything
How it is all my fault
I want to cover my ears
But that would only annoy
Then there would be only pain to feel
So I put on a blank face
And I don't say a word
I stand there...
