Oh Demise
I walked through the crowd, people kept brushing against me
I moved slowly passing gypsies and men in biker gang jackets
No one will recognize me, the same symbols in a different land
I slipped into a large tent and sat at the makeshift bar I found
I met eyes and ordered a shot of whisky and a pint of beer
The bartender poured them both in the same glass
The ebony ale made me feel odd, the beer wasn’t cold
I turned to my left, an old man sat on the stool next to mine
He was terribly old drinking a tall glass full of wine

Oh Demise 1
I spotted the bar’s weather worn neon sign a quarter mile ahead. I pulled up my bike and dismounted kicking up the dust with my boot and strolling towards the “Dead Man’s Drink”, a creaky shithole out in middle of nowhere. A concoction of delta and boogie blues clung to the moonlight like backwater quenching a dried up dam.

Forgetting you (everything) conner>?
The dry reaches of this mourning
Span out brittle to yesteryear
Moistened only by a salty tear
Enduring this doom steeped curse
A punkish, injudicious rage
That seeped worse and worse
Through each and every page
Tap the node back to life
Alkaloids upon a bowie knife
My compulsion caused by
Sheer pressure & convulsions
My company tries to conciliate
With a stream of unconsciousness
A flow of constant contradictions
Tempting to con me into submission
Unconstrained my constipated brain
I’ll stay true...

What is the lifespan of a deadpan indulgent
Hidden among hoodrats & hippies with cool tats
I was wayfarer before the empty bags under my eyes
Began to sag, if they droop any lower I’ll tie off my arm with piano wire
And fire up a cheap thrill, it cost me so much and was only getting cheaper still
I deal in divestment hoping the damage will make me a stronger dyslexic
But still I manage myself with the same old treatment, self medicated O’swtJesus
What did you feed him?
Nothing he didn't need
Or receive in glee
Hand me back my filthy...

I am so whole
It sickens me
Undiscerning
Wont you
Burn me
Do you not
Yearn to feed
Undress my wounds
To fester deep
Perceives my feats
Sink like a lead balloon
Lodged in concrete
My dead cocoon
Shattered to life
Until you take
This knife start the
Hacking & the sawing
Fractures & the gnawing

MISCELLANEOUS POEM

Broken Toilet Seat
Perhaps my toilet seat is female
Because when I pee I can’t relax
There aren’t any women round
No reason for the seat to keep
Falling down
No need for her to keep snapping shut
Unless of course I need to empty my gut
Maybe she just really despises men
And wants them all covered in their own urine
Or maybe she needed more than the contents of my bowels
Contacting with her bowl
She wanted me to reach out and touch her soul
Not just flush and go
I smiled as she blushed with a brownish glow
Because when I pee I can’t relax

Writer's Block
This writer’s block feels like a cancer
So I’ll smoke another lovely cigarette
Hoping to stumble across an answer
In the smoke hovering over my head
Achieve a clouded view, I’m perched upon the cathedral
I quietly leave a crowded room, as though I were ethereal
And sit in agony wresting with my tragedy
Keeping my balance is so very maddening
I’ll cling to this depravity, tread the tight rope
Of sanity in hope that we might elope ourselves in one another
Hide with me my lover under the covers
Of darkness through the woods

Admit I'm Omitted
You push away and then ask. “Will you stay?”
As long as everyone fits nicely right in place
Round and round the maze you crafted
Writing on the walls inside my head
Make me feel a worthless bastard
Walking about the halls blinded by dread
Stalking light in hope, in awe
For what may lie in store
She turned to face me, eyes a dream
She said “Take me out of this shitty place”
Smiling and crying, just holding me tight
We sat wondering why, we sat through the night
Putrid people I’d like to see hung from steeples ...

Entanglement
I hardly ever dream anymore
My dreamscape has collided
And leaked through reality’s door
My has dream-world melted
No place left to confide in
Now this impure reality’s descending
Left me exposed with no hole to hide in
It’s all combining and heading down
Vortex of sadness drifts towards the sinkhole
I dream while I’m awake
Due to the drugs I take
In an effort to shake
The mushrooms I ate
In an effort to escape
Unpleasant headaches
Guts turn and twist
Stomach another
Sickly sedative
I’m just lost in my head...

Hallow Springs
I pull my motorcycle up to the curb
I can’t believe I’m listening to that crazy old man
I must be the one who’s disturbed
I walk into the retirement community
Quiet as I can
Past Mr. Mulligan’s little house
Past his garden of turned up dirt
“Dam kids musta pulled up me garlic!”
Why would I listen to him?
I could have satisfied him with lies
Ensuring him the new caretakers have nothing to hide
But Mr. Mulligan had been so determined
And it’s hard to deny the wishes a senile old hermit
I creep over to the shed
As I approach I can see...
