Land of You
Beauty of Yours
you ran with my heart
and I buried yours
you ran with my soul
and I kept yours.
you gave me inspiration
I gave you butterflies
when we were alone
we were together
when we spoke
we talked about Forever
I searched your eyes
only to see
not whats before
but what's become of me
what this feeling has done
what I've surely become
in this the Land of Beauty
I get no answer so I look more
but I got lost
unable to find the door

to a question i haven’t asked.
I wait for a purpose that has
no cause, no task.
I give all I have,
but you give none.
I give all I can
but you don’t give one.
This is to help you
and all the shit you do.
This fulfills your life
your agenda.

on a chair to high to see

For the Morning Sun
I wait for the morning of a dead sun
For this darkness, to long it has become
I wait for the repeated answer
To be told
The fact and truth to behold
I wait for, as I lay here and cry
I wait here for the Earth to lay down and die
For the morning of a dead sun will not come
For the mourning of a dead sun will not come.
I wait for the forgotten
As they packed their backs and left
They gave nothing but a were thefts
Because the sun is dead
No morning to dread
No wake up call to break my dream
No light to be redeemed
As I lie...

We are That Dark Road
The night was old
And the morning late
He walked with no purpose
He walked against his fate
A voice whispered to go back
But, he knew
For that was the reason he walked
This dark and dusty road
There was no where to go
No where to row.
Much of the time we are the same
Stuck in room with no one
But the mind of us
No one to shield us
To protect us
To hide us from us
We are the enemy
We are the destruction of our present
The reason he walked on that road
Was to escape his thoughts
What he (we) thinks of as...

Blues and Whiskey Music
The lights go up
The audiences’ back straightens
As the curtain rises
My strings tuned to
Pefection
I lick my lips and walk
Up to the mic
Ready to take the night
With my song to say
My say to sing
My voice to be heard
In this very place
The audience looks rich
With opinion
They’re eyes deminish me.
Smirking I say, “Good evenin’ gent’s, who’s ready to dance?”
Whiskey breathing soul from the stage.
My attire, my beard acts as the sin
Dazed and puzzled, the Tuxedos wrinkle

Beast
I can see through your mask
The one that blinds your eyes
From your ill fated lies
The one that acts as a cape
For the children to imaginate
I can see through your wall
The one built before your heart
For holding the sins in the dark
As a cage holds the beast back ‘til death
Takes it’s toll, ‘til death takes its gold
I wait, patiently
For your breath to stop
As you lie, that mask
Built before your eyes is lifted
And the audience is gifted

Sonnet For a Time
Time will end when the sun holts to a crisp.
When the sky becomes nothing but ash
When the wind hushes to a dull, cold wisp
When man’s dial changes next, it is his last.
When time is nothing and nothing is time.
When there is no ground to walk or run on.
When my words die, and stop at the last rhyme.
When life is over and time ends at dawn.
When man is gone, nor a legacy left.
When a world is not there, and seems it never was.
No books, no stories, taken by a theft.
When never exists in a soulless cause.

UnGodly Time to Write: LEtters to the REader
I feel like I must write at this hour, with not a story on mind,
not a plot that calls for my clothing words.
I just know that I must write to you.
You, the one reading my work,
skimming over my legacy left in perfectly measured stanzas.
You the one trying to find the right words in what your trying to say,
trying to portray in the next poem.
You, the one who lets their heart go as their fingers try and keep up.
You, the one who’s name is not known.
Thats the thing I love about writing, we feel a connection,
as your hear the soft grumble of my voice,...

Drawn to Today
Together we walked in the park
We notice that feeling beginning to start
Our hands cupped together
Inlaced in one another.
Standing still, our breath before us
I look into her blue glorious eyes
as she gazes into mine.
The world stops, everything stands still
A smile breaks on her face
She giggles and I chuckle
“Did you feel that?” I say
She looks at me, “I do everyday.”
We continue our stroll
And she huddles to my side
Smling she says, “Why does it have to be so cold,”
And shivers. I smile and pull back my quiver...

Unseen Beauty Finds a Way
I watch her as she writes down the answers
Her hair hanging across her face
Her hand scribbling writing down the teachers words.
All the while I watch her across from me
An arms distance away.
She’s beautiful, no ones told her.
No one has even acknowledged this fact
that what they see right before them is wonderful.
Are my eyes the only ones open?
Or are they asleep, lost in a dream?
Her posture holds scars
From friends before
Ones she's trusted, but nevermore.
Her shy stammer has abuse in store.
She doesn’t talk,...

Explosions Create?
What do explosions do?
"They explode!" Johnny says
The children laugh
The teacher scorns
As mushroom clouds form
As my mind questions the facts
I see nothing, hear nothing
Darkness
Then a light, expanding, becoming
I see cosmic rays built up to beams
Going forth, bringing light to the world
But all the while, as the beams go and the dust clears
She spits out the facts
My mind wanders
Wonders, explosions don't create, they destroy
Explosions don't begin, only end the days
They aren't skilled artists, they aren't...
