Broken Dreams
pretty broken dreams
scattered across the floor
laying naked on the floor
touching every shattered broken tear
eyes unfocused a bottle at my feet
the needle has fallen out of my reach
cold tremors reach a body overcome by years
blue eyes cant cry anymore
ran dry by this years drought
the bottle so damn empty at my feet
the needle to far out of reach
to many broken memories
piercing my weather worn back
to broken memories
to many broken dreams
to shove back in this old dying heart of mine

This perfectly innocent girl
Lays broken on the floor
Laying on her crushed dreams
Realizing her mom was a whore
The dad she thought was hers was one of her moms false loves
Realizing she had a year till the big eighteen
She has learned only hardship and struggle
How to be a mother to her two young sister
She's learned how to tell a man no
But nothing to live on her own
How to actually make a dinner that doesn't consist of mac n cheese
How to get a job to make money on her own
Only a year till the big eighteen

Wings ripped from her back
Halo crashed to the ground
Along with the million tears she has cried
On her knees in the desert sands
All alone no where to go
Only the stars to twinkle in her company

Weave me a saviors noose of harshly told lies
hold to one final truth that soon you will walk away

Just kids
We were just kids
we still are
we have plans to marry and grow old together
but how will this work isnt it just a crazy plan
how can i feel so much when i barely no emotions at all
i have a feeling this fantasy will blow up in my face
that there will be only pain and hurt
that what love we say we feel will grow cold and shatter into a million tears
that forever may not be that long
maybe some things we are not meant to understand
we still are
