Quick question, I know this is a poetry website and all that but does it have to be poetry? Either way, I'm sure I wont have any problems but I was just wondering.

They were and still are
endless reasons why
somethings shouldn't happen.

For instance:
the father of her child,
the child,
a relationship of love
that lasted three years,
but it did
happen.

And now, as I sit
upon the toilet
next door
whilst she stirs.
I grow warm
remembering last night,
and knowing that once I flush
and wipe,
brush my teeth
and stare my tired eyes
out in the mirror
I offer my reflection
a grin,

then I turn
to walk back
in to that room
where she waits
with her heart
on her sleeve
and her legs
open for me.

Does that mean the letter can be in prose? Its ok if the structure is like prose , but it must be poetry in essence, i hope im clear:-)All righty that is cool.
