Make Me Cry
I swear....
Ive been sifting
for something uplifting
panning
for enlightened understanding
ginning
for a new beginning
probing
for hope....
...nope
despite my efforts
none of the above
appears on my scope
not the faintest blip
upon high-end scope
I`m left here wondering
should I continue the climb
or finally tie
hangman`s knot
with what`s left of
my burnt-at-both-ends
rope
I`ve not quite
reached it`s end,
however,
in my pipe-dream attempts
to help
or simply not-offend
I`ve taken on
too many Loving dependants
all who will suffer
more than I
should there arise need
to fold the Tent
what a ridiculous
two-thirds life spent
ok,
my childhood
truly heaven-sent
plus,
an absolutely magical
off-the-charts
adolescence......
.....yet
apparantly Destiny
is kinda bent
She`s got me coughin` up
anciently earned credits
as post-damage collateral
for,
I guess,
gettin more than my share
of ecstatic
living-fantasy
all experienced
relatively care-free
a miserable trait,
vengeful Fate
bows atonal shrieks
on unrosined strings
sadistic
industrial strength Lent
force-feeding
me Hell-Sent
near-fatal doses
breaking with tradition
it`s sacrificial mode
branded on my forehead
