no, please.
don’t yell.
please, please.
please, anything but
that.

no, i know he
shouldn’t have
done that. he
really shouldn’t
smoke either.

i know it. i
know. but,
please, please,
please don’t yell.

just please, please
get through the
week. no, i know
it’s hard. please.
just do it.

COSMIC FAULTS

Grey laced
Stone faced
Fake grace mistakes in outer space
Blast off, orbital
Super nova fish bowl
Space dust, moon rust
Lick the sun, out of touch
Hi world, good girl
Sit, stay
Spin and twirl
Bird’s eye
Bye, bye
Eat the clouds
Drink the sky

give me 51 words
explain yourself in a sentence
get  high
and drive
for only half a mile
your penance is  a death sentence
1 over,mr 1 leaf clover
if i was waitin to catch it in the front end
stick my head in the oven
i'd still end up with nothin.

      HIDE AND SEEK

i sighed

    a breathless gasp

in one extended

    timeless moment

of suspended wonderment

    as pure  harmonic sound

spread its aerial wings

    to lift my spirit

high above

    all mundane things

unseen

    that held me down

below

    until i heard

and felt

    the unexpected

thrilling call

    of its sheer

ecstatic

    freeing light

shine forth

    from my

open heart

    freely

out

    to all

A Toast To Immortality

Power hungry
a thirst for blood
spill your vein into my cup

The immortal clock ticks time away
this thirst
this hunger
will not waver

My second face
hidden in plain sight
this smile
these blue eyes
my beautiful lie...

LVI

Be wary, the Romans plot. Conspiracies within
confidences blossom, their epistles contradict and confuse.

Tiberius out-snakes the viper within, when Sejanus dances
the garotte at Tullianum, corpse capers down Gemonian stairs.

For three days, the mob shreds, devouring eternal peace. His three
children wrenched apart, the same stairs bodily stained.

Be wary, the Romans plot.

To my daughter

I said:
"One last wish, nothing more."

The murderer held a piece of paper in his bloody claws.
He smiled.
Closing his eyes he said:
"I come to you, the wait is over!"

And we shot.
