An Owl's chorus
specific to the night
a noisy call
before the Sun
does unsheathe
it's daylight
ready to reheat
as all darkness
does retreat
the blackness
becomes weak
in all its fight .


Featherweight winds
that have no whoosh
mixing within
the morning hues .

There's a Human impersonator
made of straw
but he's a failure
without regalia
propped up tall .


A mixture of biology
comes alive
within the plait
of long grass
they shine their eyes .

The break of new day
does restrict
the Moon's play
the clamp of high Sol
is now noon
the job is done .
