Mid Day Rain in Fairgreen

Grey skies
Water stained pavement and sidewalks.
Roof tops sighing from the cold
Pots of flowers drinking the nectar
Wild flowers stretch up their faces
A light drizzle
Tickling the leaves of the trees
Kissing the petals of the roses
Dripping down the stems of poppies
Gleaming on the clover
A soft breeze
Touching the faces of an elderly couple
Rolling over the lush green hills
Playing tag in the tall grass
Moving over the huddled cattle
A distant thunder
Echoing in the mountains
Doing battle in the air
Going to war in the Heavens
Crying out in disdain
An eery call
Calling outside a dotted window
sneaking under the front door
Singing down the chimney
Dancing on the wind

Haha, this is just like my competition "Characteristics of Rain" that I did a few weeks ago.

                        < ornament >

                       a light rain
                       a red berry
                       one of all these
                       all waiting
                       in the overcast
                       a slight drizzle
                       a fall day
                       and on each one
                       and this one too
                       a drop
                       a tiny mirror
                       stuck to its bottom
                       that wraps the sky
                       the forest
                       the field
                       the dog and me
                       all of us
                       it has all of us
                       stuck to its bottom
                       and we
                       become a picture
                       a silver ornament
hung on a bright red berry

Where are you my rabbit

Where are you my rabbit
The blades of grass in the Autumn sun
The darkness in the corners of shade
The birds in Gethsemanes' garden
That bring you this way
They seek you all
And then like sudden death
Like a raging storm
Like a ghost
You appear in natures' form

Where are you my rabbit
(over there stuck?)
When the Autumn leaves fall
When the crash of storms
When thunder hits
And our hearts are struck

In a childs' small palm
Humming the psalms of God
You pass through valley paths
Amongst golden birds of light
Amongst the friends in the grass
The dragonflies in flight
The maggotts and
The reptiles of your past
That caught fright and fled
Lost and found almost at once
Luck

Were you caught down a narrow path
Were you enslaved and kicked and
Beaten by the enemies' rod
Did you hide
And did you live
Did you live to find your God

Merely passing through the grass of
Merry hops
Nibbling the green leaves
Drinking rainwater drops
In sun
In light
In the enemies
Of light
In habits of might
Under dusted burrows
Under dusty hearts
Dispelling fears

Where are you my rabbit
Where are you my rabbit

Im Glad They Can't Talk

Its been raining all day,,,
and the rain finally stopped,,,
And All The Clouds went away,,,
but the Water continues,,,
to drip from everything,,,
And each and every drop,,,
is like a tiny little crystal ball,,,
And Each One Has A Story To Tell,,,
And There Are Billions Of Them,,,
And They Are Hanging everywhere,,,

God !!!Im glad they cant talk,,,,,,

Senses

I hear
Rain pounding on the concrete
The distant echoing of a dog barking
The ocean crashing over the hill
I see
Trees swaying in tune to the wind
Wild flowers reaching up to kiss the raindrops
An elderly man sitting on his front porch
I smell
Rain cramping it's way onto the streets
Freshly brewed coffee inside my home
Dampness of the bark mulch in my flower beds
I taste
Cleanliness of the fresh air
The hot bitterness of my folgers
And the sweet, nuttiness of my coffee creamer
I feel
The barometric pressure assaulting my joints
The warmth from my sleeping dogs
The rough hewn edges of an old book
