Poetry Contest

Show off your inner nerd
Get the glasses held together with tape in the middle, your braces, and biology books its time to show me your inner nerd

Write about something nerdy it can be anything from superheroes from your favorite comic books to a molecular vortex

Maybe even a poem of you yourself being a nerd..

Can't even see

Glasses too big for my face
My room is painted like outer-space

Old worn out converse with mathematical equations
Plaid button up shirt
With a denim short skirt
Call me a freak
I'm really a geek

Thats my girl Shanique
She knows how I roll

Don't mess around
I know exactly where you're coming from

I'm being killed by boredom


Tonight we're gonna party
Bring the books
Some History
Biology
Chemistry
Between you and me

I love those braces
And your slicked back hair
The tucked in shirt
With you're combat boots
I wanna see you come undone
Show me you can have fun

So we'll dance and play some video games
And I'll smile in defeat as you win again
Cause this is how geeks have fun

EXAMPLE:

What's A Batman Without Robin

The dark night he's called
They all claim he isn't flawed

I've saved his life to may times to count
Yet I get no credit? What's that about?

Sure he adopted little orphan me
But I have talent too you see?

I'm intelligent..I make gadgets too
I'm an acrobat...skilled enough for the Olympics..its true

I'm a skilled detective...no blood hound needed
So why aren't I appreciated?

How come the girls all run for Batman
And what about me...Robin...don't I get a fan?

No wonder Dick Grayson became Nightwing
He didn't quite go evil but he got the independence he was wanting

Yes I love Batman..he's like my dad
And honestly its oh so sad..

I guess all I'm asking for is something simple
"Nice job son" its a few words that are oh so little

I'm not just a sidekick
I'm a boy with a little more then just a trick

I'm Robin...Boy Wonder
I'm not just a kid with a utility belt who's a junker

What's A Batman Without A Robin?
Its a man in a cape stuck with a joker problem..
