The Poor Die On The Floor , The Elite Get A Seat

Pens to paper
you sign a name
as the jobs escape you
your always to blame .
The hated , biro
the antiquated , capitolist
power crew
broken fingers clutch a giro
a down town spiral
to no point of view  .
Higher education
an attempt to better yourself
through qualification
to a status of some elation .
A rich mans parliament
a grant to insult
it just say pays the rent
your food knife is .
never blunt
They dont care if you can't eat
or if you die on the mud paved street
they're only interested in the elite .
these felines rule all of everything
if I was a songbird
I would'nt sing
theres a hole in every shoe
they utilise
then criticise
they're out to destroy you .

INSANE POVERTY

Dancing around a sea
of insane poverty
You see the sky flex
as you watch the vapours of your mind
form an arc around the atmospheric convex .
You don't want to fall into the oscillating
whirling mass
of expirement .
You cling onto huge stalagmites
of built up frozen tears
your frozen fingers feel like they want to capitulate
and then you'll fall
into all
your biggest fears
All you can do is build yourself up higher
light an ice mass melting fire
and watch the sea
of poverty
expire .

I Was Born and Raised in a tenement Prison, where the sentence is never lifted
More Drugs than food was cooked in my kitchen, Living room filled with siblings
And I can't see because the lights keep twitching, some of my clothes are missing while my others aren't fitting, because they're my brothers, Im 9 and he's 15
its such a sick scene, nothing sweet, nothing Pristine, People get mean when there's no tavern on the green (TBC)

< my sister called me a few months after mom died >

   She said: "Ever since mom died I've felt like this;
but it was only today that I realized I'd become an orphan."

I did this when I was 13 ha ha

The Miner's Strike

So what
the miners are on strike
all I ever wanted was a B.M.X bike .
So what
your dad's not digging coal
my old man is on the dole .
My dad has no choice
as your's ckooses to listen
to Mr Scargill's voice .
I don't think it's fair
you go for free
whilst I stay here
pitifully .

Okay folks, sorry about late reply, I have been busy for a little while and I see we have slipped into March.
I have read through all of your contest entries, And I choose
The Poor Die On The Floor , The Elite Get A Seat - Paul Summerscales (Diddi) as the overall winner. - a really interesting piece of writing, i enjoyed it from the beginning to end. A piece to be proud of.

I give le rayon du biscuit 2nd place for their entry. - So short but yet so meaningful and insightful.- great work

And last but not least, I announce third place to Juvi LaPorte for their entry.- I loved the images it portrayed,Thank you for this piece.
