sacrifice
She enters the macabre chapel through massive ornate double doors.
Hesitating only a moment, she begins down the middle isle. Careful to keep her head forward, shoulders back. Afraid the slightest show of weakness might provoke the terrifying faceless congregation inhabiting the pews.
With her eyes glued to the stone slab at the front of the dimly lit room, she slowly makes her way forward. Her legs begin to tremble ever so slightly. Still she moves forward. Her brow begins to sweat. Her nostrils are filled with the sickening smell of melting wax and sulfur. Still her...

Spring Wood Slasher * A Freddy Krueger Tribute*
Killer of the night,
He causes fright,
There's no way you can fight for your life.
He has razor, sharp knives on his fingers,
A brown, burnt fedora,
a red and green sweater.
He says he is forever.
He is not a night stalker,
He attacks anyone he can.
They all say " it's only a dream".
How do they know they can make it another night?.
How are they right that it's only a figment of imagination?.
I can't sleep tonight,
I'm for some reason dressed in all white,
Running for my life as this man chases me.
He's...

El Bautizar Del Indeseado
A busted Eldorado with Texas plates
Halted under the blistering sun
Somewhere south of the Mexican border
The air conditioning failed
Ninety miles ago on Route 31
And finding a mechanic was in order
Pregnant, the driver found
Sanctuary from the heat instead
Nearby in a quaint little church
And rested her feet and head
On the last row of warped benches
Cobbled together from discarded birch
Exhausted in her flight
From a nameless demon of which
She could never get far enough away
While a couple...

Berceuse to Siblings, Sleep and Death
Berceuse to Siblings, Sleep and Death
All the anxieties,
The entire insomnia of the thing,
How caracole it all seems -
Inside, the lamps blaze
And where are we?
Counting fire-flys in the rain.
( All of which, by the way,
only add up to darkness in the end. )
- And where are we? Somewhere in-between ?
Merely dreaming,
adrift,
or like love, caught in a tractor-beam?
